Games You've Beaten in July

PS3
DmC
Papa & Yo
Final Fantasy X-2

PS4
Transistor

Vita
Persona 4 Golden

It's been awhile since I've finished this many games in a single month hah.

Tried to finally finish AC assflags

had it since launch
lost interest due to lame plot an annoying boat battle in Part 8?...
I dont even know. Its the worst AC since Revelation in terms of interest.
AC3 was bad but the story was kinda cool, Assflags plot is horrible, I didnt like boat battles in AC3...this game is all about them smh.

PC
Shovel Knight
F.E.A.R.

Wii
The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword

All amazing games. F.E.A.R. especially surprised me.

360:

Charlie Murder
Abyss Odyssey
The Wolf Among Us Ep 4 & 5

Xbox One:

Guacamelee: STCE
Sniper Elite 3

That's also with a hell of a lot of Destiny beta playing, so still pretty proud of what I managed to get through.

PC:

Gone Home: Good game. Amazing little story that told in this one. It was really short though. I heard that was the case but damn I thought it would be longer than that (took me an hour and a half to beat).

Dark Souls 2 DLC: Was pretty good. Level design was much better than in the main game. They still have these enemies that just poise through your attacks like it was nothing which just sucks honestly. If I hit you with a giant tree trunk, you should probably stagger at least a little. Bosses were hit and miss for me but the last boss fight was really good I thought.

PS3:

Destiny Beta: Gameplay is great but everything else seemed kinda 'meh' to me.*

*I'm not sure if Destiny Beta counts since its a beta and all but I'm counting it anyway.

I've only beaten Demon's Souls.

Holy crap what a game. Best 5€ I've ever spent. Played Dark Souls before and I can't decide which one is better.

Now I need to buy Dark Souls 2, in the meantime I will try NG+.

I got a lot done this past month. I'm quite surprised.

Valdis Story: Abyssal City - This was great. The absolute best combat from these sort of games, all that double dashing and attack cancelling with huge combo numbers was very rewarding. It comes with a pretty stiff challenge too (on the higher difficulties), which I wasn't quite expecting - I died, a fuggin' lot. Some nasty + awesome boss fights in the latter half. Bonus points for a smart exp. system that prevents you from grinding your way to Godhood.

Double Dragon Neon - I like it more than most of WayForward's stuff, even if I don't love it. PC port is a goddamn mess though.

Guacamelee! - Really enjoyed the platforming in this. Visuals and music were a nice treat. Combat was a little empty coming off Valdis though, and the difficulty is largely MIA. Still, it's cute.

Kid Icarus: Uprising - This is a 5/5 kind of game, something I can't believe it took me so long to come around. What a treasure.

3D Super Hang-On - Yu Suzuki da gawd.

Bioshock Infinite w/ Burial at Seas DLC - Man, this looks so pretty on PC. Still kind of mixed on it though. The BaS stuff felt more like misguided fanservice than a sweet sendoff too. I guess it was nice to revisit Rapture, if nothing else.

Ys Seven - great game. I like Oath in Felghana, Origin and Ark of Napishtim more, but still Ys Seven is a hell of a lot of fun, especially later on.

Beyond: Two Souls - solid game overall. Beautiful visuals. Disliked the disjointed narrative. Writing was inconsistent, as expected. Jodie (Ellen Page) and Nathan (Willem Defoe) were great characters; didn't care much for the rest of the cast (hated that CIA agent...Ryan). Overall I much prefer Heavy Rain.

Hotline Miami (PC) - excellent game, outstanding soundtrack.

Ys I (PC - Ys I+II Chronicles) - Fuck
Dark Fact
, that boss is just insanity.

Ys II (PC - Ys I+II Chronicles) - Liked this one a lot more than Ys I. The improvements to the bump combat were much appreciated.

Dear Esther - Didn't like it. Boring story. Really pretty game though, especially the latter half.

Shovel Knight - slightly overrated, but still enjoyed it very much.

Also finished Minerva's Den.

Enjoyed:

Ace Attorney Investigations 2 - Amazing game. Possibly the best in the entire franchise. Not just saying that because I was in it either xD

Shovel Knight - I haven't had that much fun with a 2D platformer in years.

Strider - Another 2D platformer that I enjoyed much more than anything from Mario & Donkey Kong.

Muramasa Rebirth - ANOTHER 2D game I had a great time with.

Dead Space 3 - I don't think I would have had as much fun had I not played co-op, but with a friend I had a blast.

Alan Wake's American Nightmare - Fun game. I would love for there to be more Alan Wake in the future.

Didn't Enjoy:

Lego Batman 2: DC Super Heroes - I expected it to be at least as good as Lego Marvel, but it wasn't even close. There was way too much focus on Batman and not enough on the rest of the heroes.

Game & Wario - I got it for free so I shouldn't complain, but none of the mini games made me want more. Gamer and the Photography ones were alright, but everything else was lacking in the fun factor.

Overall a pretty good month. I got back to 8 after last month's disappointing 5.
