I certainly spent that much on Heroes of Might & Magic 2, 3 or 4. Probably Diablo1 too.
I didn't clock my time then, but I spent an indecent amount of time on Virtua Fighter 3 on Dreamcast. Easily 100+, but 200 is possible.
And I'm probably not that far from reaching that threshold with Titanfall.
5k hours on Socom confrontation split between 3 names (different clans)
Thinking about it, this is not like cod where the hours played is all Respawn but Socom only counts hours played when the player is alive! Not the duration of the game
It's an interesting topic. I'm trying to remember what games I was into when I was young because that's when I was mainly hooked into games and played them all the time. Nowadays I'd be hard pressed to spend a lot of time in any game.
World of Warcraft is the only definite one that I could comfortably confirm. That'd be closer to 4000...
I was well into Half-Life series for the years between releases for both games. Mods, maps and everything else. I played Counter-Strike, Source and CZ all the time but because there were multiple versions I'm not sure if any single game topped 200. Steam tells me nothing so there must have been a time when some of those games weren't played in the client or weren't being tracked, not sure.
I played a lot of Age of Empires II: The Conquerors back then as well but 200 hours?
Diablo 3 is another if I include time on console as well as PC. Apparently I'm around 160 hrs on PC.
Minecraft maybe.
200 hours is a lot of time so who knows if there were any other games.
Despite my long history of gaming there's surprisingly few candidates that would get close to that many hours. It would be fascinating to be able to see your complete playtime history.
Soul Sacrifice is the only recent-ish game I've put more than 200hrs into.
But back in teh day Crash Bandicoot 3 and Tekken 3 were easily played past that many hours.
Mario 64 - Got this when I was 10 in 1996 and I've replayed more times than I could count.
Goldeneye 64 - Middle School MP addiction
Mario Kart: Double Dash - High School/College MP addicition
Always has been, always will be 1000+ hour game for me. I should be grossly ashamed, but I'm morbidly curious if I can break past time and HR records with any future instalments. I think it's a sickness or something, there's probably a name for it somewhere...
Killzone 2 is the only game I've spent over 200 hours on (nothing else comes even close.) I have spent near 800 hours in KZ2 thanks to its glorious MP. I will never spend that amount of time on any game ever again.
From how it's going so far the possibles are Destiny, Diablo III: Reaper of Souls & Minecraft. All on the PS4.
Too early to judge but No Man's Sky could end up on this list to from what I know of it BUT I really don't know enough yet. I love what I've heard but it could still go horribly wrong by launch I suppose.
Street fighter 3: 3rd Strike
Team Fortress 2
Monday Night Combat (On Steam, before the devs killed it)
Dark Souls 2 is approaching 170 hours
Binding of Isaac was 187 hours
Ive only ever made it to the 200 hour mark once - Persona 4 (90 hours on the PS2, and another 130 to get the Plat for P4G). its really uncommon that i get that far, even for games i truly, genuinely love.
Overall i'd say the closest i got, other than p4, are the following:
Final Fantasy Tactics (PS1) - 170+ hours
Final Fantasy VI (SNES) - 150+ hours
Chrono Trigger (SNES) - 150+ hours
Street Fighter Zero 3 (PS1) - 150+ hours
Skyrim and Oblivion - 80+ hours each
Edit: how could i forget???
Diablo II: Lord of Destruction (PC) - 250+ hours between all playthroughs
Rune Factory 3. Currently I'm like 50 hours in, but at the rate I'm going now, I'll have finished the main story by the ~150 hour mark. Depending on if I want to do the optional dungeon (recommended level 90, impossible to beat at level 270...), I might or might not hit the 200 mark.
I also expect to put a lot of time into Smash 3DS, but I don't think it'll get anyway close to 200.
Honorable mention goes to Kid Icarus: Uprising for being the first 3DS game to pass 200.
Its hard to figure out how many I've spent that amount of time on especially games from my youth when you'd play the same games forever. But yeah I know for certain the above are true.
