God of War III is huge just by name alone. SCEA will be betting the entire farm on this first party title which according to Cory Barlog, "... is in good hands."

I hope that's true, because God of War II surpassed all expectations with a great story and imroved gameplay. Kratos will destroy or be destroyed when its time for his PS3 debut.

You're a fool if you think God of War III is not gonna be a MASSIVE huge title for Sony. It's going to be a flapship killer app that everyone is going to have. If people have not played God of War, they will hear about this one, and buy a PS3 for it. The key is if Sony can deliver a NEXT-GEN God of War that truly delivers. It's success will be based on it's quality, of which there is little doubt. God of War III will change alot of things for the PS3 IMO. I think it's already gained a mainstream appeal with fans much like Halo and Gears of War. People know about it , and the third one will be huge.

It's this kind of hyperbole around God Of war success as a franchise that pisses me.

The show is Ok, but they seem to have a Xbox360 bias. And I do not get the comments about home. I navigate menus at work all day, I think I really would enjoy playing/navigating in a virtual space with my friends.

MGS has worldwide appeal. god of war tears shit up in North America...but that's mostly just it.

I have to commend Jeff, he's the only guy out there trying to get games into the TV space in a way that isn't insulting to gamers or viewers. Doin' a great job.

This episode was basically a 21 minute collection of sound bites though.



Edit: As for home, I think a lot of people are dismissing it a little early based on what they think it's going to be like.

huh? Console gaming in Japan (Outside of the Wii) is so small when compared to America and Europe. For the most part it would be a waste of time for the GoW team to make a GoW game that would appeal to Japanese as much as Americans.
