Another update from their twitter:

Three more weeks to go.........

Hi everybody, just to be clear- we have about three more weeks of recording left to finish the album- then mixing, then mastering, etc...

And we can't wait for you to hear it! But it's still going to take some time... We'll tell you what's going on right here...

Oh and someone asked if they will be touring and they said Yes.

I remember buying their first album just when it came out when I saw a video of Queer on the MTV. So sad I never saw them live back then.

THeir first album will forever be a classic to me, and I liked a couple songs off the 2nd album too but they lost the plot for me awhile

Bleed Like Me was pretty forgettable, but I love their other 3 albums (still listen to them occasionally). I'll buy it day one, but I'm hoping they can reignite my interest in them.

Oh, and they're great live. Really fucking great.

the 90's....goes to check if POE is still talking about releasing another album

Mini-cut from the first song.

Sounds like old school Garbage.

I grew a boner. A massive one.
Likewise. I listened to their first album on the drive to and from PAX this weekend, so damn good. That snippet sounds old school Garbage in the best way possible.

2.0 is probably my favorite overall, but I love how different they both are. I do hope they carve out room for a few quieter tracks; You Look So Fine is one of my favorite Garbage tracks.

What ever happened to her solo album? I was looking forward to that at some point in the past.
According to the Wikipedia entry the studio refursed to release it. It was too dark for their tastes.

If I kept one PC over the years and only used iTunes, my top "played" songs/albums would no doubt be Garbage and 2.0.

Garbage has 3 or 4 throw-away tracks, but 2.0 is so good beginning to end.

I remember ordering my first bootleg concert video (VHS) and the cover was this b&w photo of Shirley holding a mic. My parents thought it was porn, lol.

My favorite band ever. I still have every CD and record that I collected by them. I probably spent thousands getting my hands on every foreign single and promo I could. I'm so excited for a new album.

Fun fact: in the DVD documentary on their greatest hits album, Absolute Garbage, you can see me in the audience of one of their shows from the Bleed Like Me tour.

Nice, are ya holding a GAF sign? lol :p I'll have to look even though i dont know who to look for. haha

Yes! Thanks for the FB video. Now I'm excited cause I'm only a fan of their first two albums. I really like that the males in the group are in their 50+, it's cool to see old people rocking.

cool, Version 2.0 was one of my favorite albums of the 90s. Not a bad track on the entire thing.
I'm with you. Version 2.0 blew my mind back in the days. But still, I'm cautious. I hope it'll be good, though

Wow, I've missed this completely. This is pretty cool.

I loved Garbage and Version 2.0 when they came out, and found their later albums rather ok.

Really looking forward to this :)

yeah missed it as well (though I miss everything music related so that's no surprise)

I love Garbage though so this is great news !
Now when I mention Garbage is one of my favorite bands people might stop looking at me like I mention some obscure indy group no-one has ever heard of lol
