I’ll bet you 5.00 that Borderlands 3 falls under Gears 5 steam sales next week.Problem 1:

It was a hard decision though. That fucking windows store, my gf and I almost rather got the steam version just to not have to deal with the inevitable bs windows store is going to throw at you. She had to download gears 5 twice because between restarts it forgot she was busy installing it. Last night we each had to wait 30 min to download a 300 mb update cause it was downloading in kb/s on a 100Mbps line. Why buy it on steam when you can play it with 1$ for 1 month of gamepass? I have no proof but i would bet that numbers on gamepass are gonna be higher than 10k on steam.
How massive can it be? We have millions and millions playing on Xbox Live and 10,000on Steam. If you were someone who mostly built up a Steam friends list over the past sixteen years, how would the Gamepass version of this work? Does it integrate with Steam friends list, or just with Xbox Live? Might also be the simple fact that the list of co-op and competitive games already available on Steam is massive, meaning this game won't find a huge audience on there.
"Massive number" is referring to the volume of games, not a claim that many of them are drawing in tons of players. But even short of drawing in large numbers of players, there are games right now pulling in more players than Gears on Steam that don't exist on Xbox - CSGO, TF2, and Arma 3 are in the top ten as I type this. Throw in a few hundred more games that don't need thousands of concurrent players to provide a decent co-op experience, and you have a much more crowded market. This isn't really anything new, the player numbers for GTA V and R6 Siege have always been a bigger deal on console than on Steam, you can bet the same is occuring with Gears. Steam simply has a crazy number of games that could be absorbing players who might otherwise be interested in a game like Gears. How massive can it be? Where is the massive number you speak of?
Recent Steam stats show that even with “massive numbers” the best games get kind of small numbers.
Yet they will have communities Gears won’t?
Have you been eating Peyote?
As a correction. You can play Counterstrike and Team Fortress 2 on Xbox."Massive number" is referring to the volume of games, not a claim that many of them are drawing in tons of players. So I can make a topic that says Counterstrike or Team Fortess 2 on consoles player numbers show that those 2 games suck.
Right?
It exists.Holy crap, imagine playing Counter-strike on console, lol.
You can do whatever you want, you're clearly not comprehending anything that is being said.As a correction. You can play Counterstrike and Team Fortress 2 on Xbox.

Explain it to me like I’m 5 then. You can do whatever you want, you're clearly not comprehending anything that is being said.

Show me what I’m missing.
Don’t get mad when I ask questions like a 5 year old though.
Of course you wouldn’t.Argument just isn't a 1 to 1 comparison, is how I'm seeing it. I don't consider a comparison with Team Fortress 2/Counter-Strike GO's console performances to be very compelling.
Of course you wouldn’t.
Console pheasants should be grateful, pc master race doesn’t care.
Just watch some video of roided guys shooting guns, some video where people say fuck you repeadetly or a burp contest and a couple of episodes from a cheap military sci-fi series on tv and you basically have the plot for the entire saga more or lessNever played a single GoW game so I'm not going to jump straight into #5 without previous story and context, especially not at full price when its perceived value was slashed by having included in the cheap ass gamepass.
But why? I was primarily 360 last gen and didn't bother with Xbox this gen (PS4/Switch/PC), but I'm happy as fuck I can play Xbox games on my PC now. I bought Gears 4 at full price and am playing 5 on Gamepass. I don't really give a fuck if I'm paying Microsoft or Valve or Epic, if I can play a game on the best platform, I want to play it there.
I want games like Halo and Gears on PC and I'm happy with that, what does it have to do with going from 360 to PS4? PS4 was a better value prop and XBone didn't really give me a reason to buy one. That doesn't mean I'm going to have to pick sides or some shit when it comes to playing the franchies I loved back in the 360 days

Gears is dead on pc? You do realize there's cross play right? I have no trouble finding games so that's a blatant lie.
Unless steam version is locked away from the Xbox /windows version which would be pretty shitty.
You get the PC version when you get the Xbox One version.
Failure rate is not “high”. Stop grabbing stuff out of your ass. It's not about the price. Anything Microsoft service related in Windows, especially Windows Store is not guaranteed to work and failure rate is very high, often forcing a windows reset. Plus you are forced to upgrade w10 to latest revision every few months for it to work.such updates are risky as they can break Windows.
I don't want to go through that ordeal even if they had Nintendo and PS4 exclusives

Welp. If you’re a PC gamer and choose to go Linux only I’d just say you chose wrongGame pass isn’t on Linux sadly.
idk maybe it's because PC gamers haven't had access to Gears 1-4 and don't wanna skip through most of the series
Basically. How else would it be possible some small time indie game like Risk of Rain 2 (to mention something recent in the shooter genre) with none of the Gears IP power and media presence and critical darling status (in some circles) to have 7x the amount of peak concurrent players? It’s just a game good enough for game pass to kill time, Full price? No way.
Well that is if you believe Gears 5 was over-hyped. People have been shitting on it for the last several months. The "we haven't been shown the campaign yet so it must be bad" argument.... Then the game released to high reviews. That's the opposite of over-hyped and more like The Coalition delivered the goods.PC gamers tend to not like over hyped AAA games. However I am certain MCC will sell gangbusters.
No it's free on the torrents sites, you have to pay the monthly fee on game pass and hope it stays there for a long long time if you consider the service an alternative to ownership. Why do I say that it may go, well this is how services like that work, they rotate the content.
Any way you get three months of game pass for free with a lot of videocards these days, so people can give it a try...
It’s way higher than it should be. I’ve had a real bad experience with Windows store bullshittery. Not once has steam given me problems with the exception of when Half Life 2 released...15 years ago

This has nothing to do with the Steam audience, it's about Gears of War 5 being a average game, no promotion from Microsoft on Steam, 70 Euros price, SJW BS. The game isn't nothing special. And the GoW community plays Xbox.
