Wow, look at this bland inoffensive advertising clip art!

It represents various ethnicities, genders, and haircuts! Even the shirts range from solid colors to thin horizontal stripes all the way to fat horizontal stripes. All in all it's probably the most progressive photograph I have ever seen in my life. I can hardly wrap my mind around the sheer originality of it all!

I never once said that they didn't have diversity. I was challenging Rax to back his shit up. And I appreciate the examples you've given. Maybe Gears' popularity (hence why I brought up sales) may have a little something to do with the diversity that's seen in more mainstream titles now. Maybe they don't, I don't know. If memory serves correct the games you listed came out after Gears' release though.

If anything, like someone else posted, Mass Effect is pretty progressive. Jacob is the most "realistic" black character I've ever met in a video game.

Epic has been doing this for years already.

The first time I played unreal 2 it was amazing, graphics! ut2003 was good but U2 bought in multiple shadows and more sparks! I had to play it at like 20/30fps at the time

I thought the game was rather good too, levels were cut up because the early UE2 seemed to not like big maps.
