Gears of War 3 [M-CONF]

Wow it does look nice in the video. The GoW series has been such a pleasant surprise for me this gen. On a superficial level it shouldn't be to my taste, but I've simply had tons of fun playing through the games. Really looking forward to this one.

I'd be happy even if we got direct-feed footage of the co-op demonstration. The IGN stream switched camera views a handful of times throughout, so it'd be nice to watch it without any interruptions.
 
Looks unbelievably good for a 2011 game. Also surprised to see real game play footage already....and very polished game play for that matter. Day 1!
 
Wow, everything about this looks amazing. Frag-tag kicking was hilarious. 4 player co-op might make this the best split screen campaign game ever. Graphics look ace too. The lighting & shadowing engine looks completely overhauled, and beautiful. Did they add motion blur, or is that just pr bullshottery?

Can't wait.

I remember those from before E3. Very nice, but very BIG.
I still can't get used to Marcus without sleeves. It's just not right, preorder canceled.
 
holy shit beast mode looks stunning. is there any indication that it won't be a competitive vs mode? that is, besides the obvious netcode hurdle :P
 
Beast mode sounds awesome. Allthough for Gears 4, I'm fully expecting large-scale Horde/Beast battles filled with Brumak-riding, Centaur-tank-blastin', Raven-sprayin' madness.

Those skinny locust guys have always had that res move, annoying in horde mode :lol

I wonder if beast mode can be played with humans on BOTH sides? sort of a mix between regular tdm and horde since you play as the bigger guys and tickers.
 
Beast mode looks hysterically funny. Also it appears we'll be able to play as Stranded?

Nice portraits. Marcus still looks like he's in a WWE promo. :lol

If that happened then the Tickers everyone starts as wouldn't stand a chance! 1 shot from humans = Ticker boom.

Though it would be awesome, I can't see it :(

Whilst watching the Gears 3 segment of the conference, I remember stating that whilst everything looked awesome, lighting improved et all, I was still disappointed they'd taken out my fave enemy, the Beserker. And then literally seconds later a mutated ultra bad ass version jumps out and steals the show, blew me away! Lol. Can't wait.

Just sort out the online please EPIC, and I'm all yours!
 
I was hoping Beast Mode would be like Akrid Hunter from Lost Planet, with both sides playable, but this will still do nicely.
 
Some of the Locust armor is really detailed and ornate. Who would've thought such hideous creatures would put so much love and care into their handicraft?
 
Beast mode looks like a load of fun.

I remember fun times though LAN horde on Gears 2 and I'm sure my local buddies will also appreciate this.
 
Beast mode looks great. Considering how nice everything looks already, Gears 3 should be quite awesome in April 2011. Doubt we will see another Gears 2 glitched mess this time around.

Yeah, but thats basically Left 4 Dead competitive multiplayer which is going to be way frustrating and less fun in Gears.
 
Just a head's up. The E3 demo is now on XBL marketplace. Cliffy and gang are shown in the beginning, but during gameplay, it's full screen and direct feed. No chit chat between the players. There is some compression issues, though.

Anyways, the game looks insanely good. You can even see Marcus' hair moving. :P
Also, love the way the light filters through the canopy of the trees. This game is going to be sick!
 
Game of the Show, for me.

Double barreled sawed off is THE shooter weapon of all time. Gears is finally playing with the big boys.
