The 55GB digital preload is the full game, there will be no day 1 patch, that was for physical.

Ok, got it. And I'm looking forward to that OT!I mean going from Gears 1 -> Gears 2 -> Gears 3. It was less innovation, more refinement. I honestly would prefer a game that can nail what it tries versus one that tries something new but does it poorly.

Thanks for all the MP tips from so many people. I'm ready to jump back in and try to play smartly. Looking at my captured footage, it's obvious that I was rushing too fast into many scenarios and getting surrounded.

How is the HDR in this game?
I think it will vary from person to person but I personally thought it was excellent.
The incredibly bright highlights against the darker hues is really lovely. The sky in the first area in particular really stood out and created a very realistic atmosphere that it completely absent in SDR.
I'll have a LOT more to say on the game soon. This week I can only do the MP and Horde FPS analysis, though, but when the game launches, I'll have my own detailed look at the game and the PC port.

They took weeks after UE came out to distribute them.
Well that sucks. I was hoping to get started on them before 4 came out.

I just beat the PC version for the 2nd time. Xbox One for the 1st. Doing an HDR split video as well as the review, and a breakdown of the tech stuff. Its an interesting time. Things like HDR one place, higher fps another. Cool but odd and sometimes difficult to get a drive on which version a person will like. Luckily buy one get the other is great.

Seems pretty obvious to me that a "green light" when you're asking about the quality of the game is a very clear indication. What more do you expect him to do without breaking the embargo? Put in all caps "ZOMG GAME IS GOOD DEWD"?

You mean the limited edition console? That does comes with a limited edition code, that bundle ships early for a reason.
This might not be a garbage video game.

That was actually where I saw the game running in HDR on an OLED TV for the first time. It's the thing that pushed me over the edge to buy an OLED TV, actually.

So I pre-ordered ultimate on PC, came to $146 Canadian I barfed in my mouth a bit...
My wife notices what I just bought and tells me she wants to play co-op with me...

You still have a console? She can play on that and you on your pc, Or splitscreen on PC.
That'll have to wait but you'll see soon enough.

Sadly got rid of our xbox ones when we heard exclusives were coming to PC (So far been a costly mistake since PC ports have ran like balls and I get stuck buying 2 copies of everything)
Splitscreen won't cut it when she's trying to kill me in multiplayer lol, she loves the chainsaw and would totally cheat by watching my screen xD plus I read (who knows if true) that split is 30fps vs 60fps in multiplayer with separate screens /shrug

The season pass maps are just for private matches, in matchmaking everyone plays on the same maps. So if customs and scrims are not your thing, standard version is totally fine.
