I think COD has the potential to sell to a large number of PS3 users on launch, maybe even more than Resistance, don't be surprised. It's a curbstomp of a brand.

HOWEVER. I think Gears will at least sell to 50% of the entire 360 userbase on Earth. Which dutifully ought to smoke those two competitors. And that's if it just gets "okay" reviews. If it's as good as everyone's saying it is, then forget it. It won't just sell to the userbase, it will expand it.

No, I think you have to do it on that difficulty. Much like Call of Duty 2 (complete on Veteran) or GRAW (complete on Hard, get Hard achievements, complete Normal, get Normal achievements)

JB1981, you won't bet a ban on it I'd bet. Not if you're talking 360 only--which is the only bet worth entertaining--GoW is the new hotness and people who love shooters, including the COD fanchise, will flock to it. Guys like me will get both and those who can't afford both will go with Gears.

COD 3 is still up in the air for me. Depends on how the multiplayer is, which all signs point to being good. I won't bet a ban on COD 3 and R6 outselling Gears, but I think it's going to be very very tight.
