OH WOW. Now this is pixel art done well!

I can't exactly point my finger on what it is, but this doesn't look derivative or "faux retro". This looks like an actual modern take on 2D graphics. Getting Metal Slug vibes from the backgrounds, and the character portraits are reminiscent of the quality you'd expect from Lucasarts games.

I like the look of this game very, very much. I hope the gameplay is on the same level.

Looks great and it's in the wishlist, but I hate long death animations in games. When they die, it should communicate this instantly with visuals, have them thrown off their feet and fly in a small arc. Player should never wonder if they're defeated or not.

Thanks. Never knew about this. Art looks a little like Megaman X crossed with Metal Slug.
