GH:WT : What is the first song you will make?

They'll screen all the songs that get uploaded?

They will if they want to sell any DLC. All of the major bands have guitar tabs and drum charts on the internet that mean it will take only a few hours to enter them into GH:WT.

Seriousy guys, do any of you think before you post. No copyrighted songs will be shareable. It'll all be shitty home made crap. That is why the feature is so poor.

And did you read all the posts? I have permission from the band to convert their songs.

You realise youtube is being sued right? This will be policed much better than youtube for the reason that Activision relies on the record companies for its product. Piss off the bands who provide your music and you lose by default.
So then just let us have our fun and say which song WE will make (which was the point of this thread, btw). I can still make any song and keep it for myself and friends. If it is enforced, and the music editor isn't too difficult to use, I expect websites to pop up that will have step by step instructions to make some of the big songs anyways.

good thing i have a backup name for my song....."ouch im quite burnt"

Fair enough, just that most people were saying they would wait for others to do it.

I'll be making teethrgrinder, and then being sad that vocalists get stiffed by the music creator.

I think the lack of vocals will be a factor for DLC. Even if I recreated a song perfectly, I would still buy the song for DLC because of vocals.

Given most people I play with online have bought about 1 DLC song, I would have to say that those of us willing to pay are in the minority

Even if songs are screened, I fully expect YouTube video tutorials showing you how to make certain songs.

Extremely unrealistic to pre-screen every song. They'll do what everyone else does, let the copyright holders do their own leg work and take down anything that gets flagged by them. Still, without vocals being present (so DLC sales probably won't be affected much), and these being midi recreations mostly confined within in a videogame (it's not like people are going to externally audio capture copyrighted tracks on the service and put them on their ipods...) , I don't forsee the enforcement being as strict as youtube even.

You get a line and I'll get a pole, honey
You get a line and I'll get a pole, babe
You get a line and I'll get a pole
And we'll go down to that crawdad hole
Honey, baby mine.

What you gonna do when the lake goes dry, honey
What you gonna do when the lake goes dry, babe
What you gonna do when the lake goes dry
Gonna sit on the bank and watch the crawdads die
Honey, baby mine.

Get up, Sue, you slept too late, honey
Get up, Sue, you slept too late, babe
Get up, Sue, you slept too late,
That crawdad man's done passed your gate
Honey, baby mine.

Standin' on the corner with a dollar in my hand, honey
Standin' on the corner with a dollar in my hand, babe
Standin' on the corner with a dollar in my hand
Standin' there waitin' for the crawdad man
Honey, baby mine.

Realistically: Pennywise, Brohym

That was my first choice, though I predict we'll see the service flooded with Bro Hymn's in short order. I'll probably end up doing American Jesus by Bad Religion.

I must be going insane: I swear the either EGM or GI said last month that the song-creation feature had been dropped.

Am I going crazy?

They said the "freestyle over songs" stuff had been dropped. A lesser, but still upsetting fact.

So, you buy Guitar Hero World Tour, play it for awhile and then decide to mess around with the song editor. After making a few simple songs of your own, you get a grasp for how it works. It's now time to make a song that you know will be fun for you and your friends, and hopefully good enough to release to the Internet for all to enjoy. What song will you make?

My choice:

Shine - Collective Soul

It isn't too hard, but not too simple either, and it's a fun song to play on guitar and sing.
Your doing it wrong. Backwards to be exact.

You make someone else's crap to get adjusted/learn to how to make a song. Then you make YOUR OWN songs to post on XBL/PSN for others to enjoy.

I'm going to try to do a cover of one of my own songs. Either that or make something new. I'm sure I'll try to do some covers of other songs later too........maybe Prince :D

That's kind of disappointing. I hope that feature makes it into a future version of GH or RB.

My first project is going to be based off of Herbie Hancock's Chameleon. These music games are sorely lacking in funk!

Or I guess that would be fusion, wouldn't it?

Protest the Hero - Bloodmeat

or

Children of Bodom - Follow the Reaper (keyboard solos charted!)

hopefully it isn't too different from making custom GH2 charts. that was actually pretty fun if you knew how to play the song on the IRL geetar.

If I had unlimited talent and time, I would create "Mountain Jam" by the Allman Bros. Band. It's 34 minutes long and instrumental.
