So I'm playing the Iki expansion on the PS5 and it looks, feels, and sounds tremendous. Digital Foundry said it was subtle, but not to me - the combat feels so much more visceral with the DualSense implementation and 3D audio. And the higher resolution and clarity is immediately obvious. I will be grabbing the Director's cut for Death Stranding too, I'm sure it similarly looks and feels amazing.
As for the sequel? Ghost is an amazing new IP, but the main complaints revolve around the cookie cutter mission design and some of the side content. I will say that some of the side content was pretty amazing in how they fleshed out characters over multiple quests and even had those rad ancient tales culminating in receiving a new ability.
What I'd like to see:
1. More BOTW inspiration to world design. More traversal options, quicker/better animations, more upgrades. I'm sure that Horizon FW will be a nice template to look at. Additionally, more "secret" and "dynamic" things that happen, similar to BOTW or RDR2.
2. DUNGEONS. Yes. I'd like to see areas with elaborate puzzles culiminating in boss battles.
3. BOSSES. Moreso than in the first game, I'd like elaborage Souls-like boss encounters. This goes beyond the duels mostly featured in the first game. Something grounded but at the same time set-piece heavy.
4. Metroidvania type elements to the world - to further entice exploration. Would love to have more gadgets and things of interest to play around with.
Only bummer is that Ghost of Tsushuma is more grounded so that places some limits on what they can do creatively.
