So all those times when those headsets were demoed with the ps4 publicly, how did they work then?

I think any kind of ear bud/headphone with an inline mic should work.I assume the iPhone ear buds with the mic will also work?
Thanks Killthee for quoting me and making this thread!
I was guessing in the previous thread that maybe all the light bar info is gobbling up the Bluetooth bandwidth. Its possible that having an extra Bluetooth device attached introduces some lag or interference.
BT support being dropped is new I believe and USB v chat requiring a post launch update was announced yesterday via Astro's statement.I thought we already knew this. Hopefully, it doesn't take too long because Killzone is begging for my Pulse Elite.
Maybe they're just dumping all BT accessory support. The PS3 BT remote also isn't compatible with the PS4.Thanks Killthee for quoting me and making this thread!

It has a jack and a speaker, no mic.Hmmm....damn, I just found my official PS3 BT headset. However doesnt the controller have both 3.5mm jack and a mic?
Because they all still work just fine when connected. This issue being discussed is specific to BLUETOOTH ONLY.
I bought some elite basically for ps4 so this fucking blows.

Likely it has something to do with making the audio jack work on the controller.I'd really like to hear the reason on this one.
Hmm, but you can't connect the Pulse headset to PS3 as a BT device. The dongle is required... So I'm not sure what is being said here.
Same here. It was my Father's Day present from wife. I guess we'll just have to be patient.

Any headset with a 3.5mm jack will work; since you can plug it into the controller.
The Pulse Elite headset has that option.
Isn't the headset jack on the DualShock 4 the same as the one on the Xbox 360 controller? Anyone with an Astro system should be fine.Sucks I can't use my Astro's day 1 like I can with my ps3.
Buy our new proprietary accessories because fuck you stupid consumer sheep.
