edit: As for Jason on camera, this is from the GB forum: "I asked him about this at PAX after the panel, and he says he actually prefers being the one behind the control room. but is down to be on camera when he is needed."

Considering all the creepiness that occurs on the internet in regards to the on-camera personalities, can't say I blame him there.

Doubt that's the reason, he's probably not that used to being on camera is all (he was on camera some at GI, but not much). Since it's GB he'll probably become a on-camera personality at some point. Not as much as the editors or Drew, but they'll at least have him on for everything fighting game related.

edit: If anyone's interested in hearing Jason's thoughts on getting hired by GB, his first two weeks there, his role at GB etc., you should listen to this from about 5 minutes in. It was recorded on July 15th.

That is totally reasonable and like I said before I enjoy him as that ominous voice that jumps in if the guys are just really dumb during a QL or something.

Can someone clear something up, have just started listen to Bombin' the A.M. With Scoops and the Wolf from this Friday just gone (09/05/2014). What on earth are Alex and Pat referring to in the first 15 minutes??

once bread goes stale and drew is driven crazy by dan, he'll have no choice. better start setting up a remote laptop control room like vinny now

That seems to be a common reaction, I stopped it a few minutes in to check if I missed a major death in the industry. It's weird that they didn't bother to frame the discussion first.

Someone claiming to be from gamebomb.ru wrote this in a GB thread a couple of hours ago, found it pretty interesting/funny (the account is from 2011 and I think he/she has only written about gamebomb over the years, so seems pretty legit):

Hi ) I used Google Translate

1. Gamebomb.ru real site.

2 Our site is visited by one million unique visitors per month. Viewing 8 million pages.

3 The site is fully opened in 2010, and developed since 2008.

4 Engine at the site MZZ, has no relation to the engine site Giantbomb. When developed Gamebomb, Giantbomb no have API. And no need used other API.

5 We really inspired website design Giantbomb. Location and layout of the elements. But no more.

6 The site code is written entirely by programmers working on Gamebomb.ru

7 Website Design is drawn completely. Logo painted from scratch in 2008.

There is such a site gamebomb.net, he created in 2002. He's in a logo too bomb!

There are thousands of sites in the logo that bomb. Strangely, having the name Gamebomb, draw something else.

8 On the site there is no one image or pixel Giantbomb

9 All texts, news, descriptions of games and stuff written in Russian by our editors independently.

10 For 5 years, was written 10,000 news. Uploaded 6000 videos. Uploaded 40 thousand screenshots. Users have made 2 million comments.

11 With regard, our similarity with Giantbomb. Even if all English-language sites will write about us, we do not get any advertising. Russian people do not go to English-language sites. Moreover, among our visitors almost no one knows Giantbomb.

I dont have much interest in the game (yet), but it is going to be pretty interesting to see what sites rush out a Destiny review just for the early hits. I expect Jeff to take his time though, and if they do end up doing a stream that will probably have an impact on his opinion of the game.

Admittedly, I've not looked into the game too much, but those Destiny streams are pretty much going to be mostly the Old Russia areas right? I can't think of a more boring stream to watch at this moment.

Maybe. Jeff has been playing some over the weekend so maybe it'll end up a little further in.

Depends on how long they stream and what they stream really but there will likely be a good amount of Old Russia and possibly some of the moon.

Yeah, the Destiny situation is going to be very interesting overall. Jeff will definitely take his time, wouldn't be surprised to not see a review until the week after or something, depending on how much content is actually in the game/how much he likes the PvP.

I can't think of a more boring game to watch, period. It's like it was tailor made to be the blandest experience possible

Didn't Brad say that exact thing? :P

They were kind of going back and forth on trying to explain that it's not $35 for the character and calling it a new look for him like it's something other than a skin, maybe it was just me but it seemed like Dan was way more confused than he had to be.

It's still a pretty insane price. But supply and demand, I guess. I also don't think Dan cared about finding out if it was just for that color swap, or a new loading screen or whatever :P

Jeff did a stream? 5am seems awfully early. I see it listed on "coming up" but are we sure it isn't just a mirror of the GS stream?

Yeah, from Jeff's twitter:

Me and @bradshoemaker are going to attempt to tandem stream Destiny as soon as they open up the servers for access tomorrow at 5AM PDT.

It'll be in the standard chat spot: http://www.giantbomb.com/chat/ - If it won't connect properly, maybe I'll just stream myself going back to bed.

yeah, I saw that and edited my post - but you were too quick :D

I guess every outlet and twitch/youtuber will be streaming from 5am.

Yeah, I wonder if the servers will hold up (being so early in the US will probably help with that). Any words on whether they'll stream for the whole day, or just the hours before they go to work? Did Jeff say anything about that on his stream?

Gamespot (Danny?) is steaming Destiny all day tomorrow starting at 5am Pacific.

seems like it'll be mostly chris/mary/notdrew
