I'm not bragging. I was under the impression others used it. By the time I had posted it was up. I don't feel particularly proud I can't spring $50 for a year of GB content, but in the mean time I've few qualms about watching it through less than noble means. I fully intend to subscribe once I gain employment. But until then this will do.

No need for disrespect. I'm not offering a sob story, but an explanation. I'm aware it's no justification. I don't intend for it to be. But if people are going to dislike me, they may as well have the proper information. The more you know, buddy.
 
Okay, I played Lego Island all the time and I do not remember any of this.
Wasn't it 3rd person? And there was some racing by the beach? I remember the brickster, and pizza and skateboarding though...
My childhood is crashing around me.

It's shitty and you shouldn't do it no matter what the reason is. These guys use that money to improve the site that you are using, and basically pirating media from.

If you had any respect at all for the work that they do, you wouldn't pirate their material. Full Stop.

I'd love to support them if I could. But I can't at the moment, not even at the $5 monthly level. When I'm able to, I will. Watching these for free really makes me realize they're worth paying for. Pirating their material has made me a future customer. I'm aware that it's not right on an ethical level. I'm not trying to make it seem as though it is. Stealing is wrong. But I'm not costing them anything as is, because I wouldn't be giving them money at the moment either way. People in the /v/ thread I saw the tip on were bragging about using this method for years and not having to give them money. That's not me. I'm simply taking advantage of a backdoor way to view it until such time I'm able to support them. Still wrong? Yes. Still stealing? Yes. But i'm not killing puppies over here.

You are using up their bandwidth, but that's really besides the point.

I don't understand this argument. You're still getting enjoyment/satisfaction from the content, and they are getting nothing from you. How is that fair?

Anyway, I'm more pissed that you would post in this thread about it. Just keep it to yourself.

If you can't afford it, then you can't watch it. You have zero entitlement to any premium content. The idea that watching it has helped solidify you as a future customer is laughable.

Can't afford $5 a month huh? Not even cutting back on eating out one day a month? I mean, I understand that times can be tough, but don't for a second think that anyone believes you're so incredibly broke that you can only feed off the crumbs of pirate sites. Boo freaking hoo. Go enjoy the other 90% worth of free content on Giantbomb. Stop pretending to be anything other than a scummy pirate. You came in this thread bragging about it, for crying out loud.
 
Since signing up as a premium member in December I have watched far less past premium content (some past TNTs and both Blade Runners in the bag at least) than I would like (haven't missed a TNT or UF though...) and my feeling has been mainly "Damn! I LOVE what these guys do and I am am more than happy to pay them to keep it fucking up!
 
Holy crap, Lego Island segment was amazing!
Drew's "Ever wonder what the bottom of a Lego's foot looked like?" was fantastic, hahaha

I really wanted to play this game back in the day, but it wouldn't work on our computer. It was too much for our PC to handle, and I ended up taking it back to the store that Christmas. In fact, we took back three pc games and bought an N64 instead. Best initial disappointment ever. : D
Played it several years later on a friend's computer, and I wasn't too sad about having to give it up. Though, I don't remember it being nearly this crazy.
