According to Vinny it was just the devs thanking him for the videos as they really enjoyed watching them.
Yeah.
They wanted to say they really enjoyed the QLs but didn’t want to contact me before we had finished the last one, to avoid it being weird. I really appreciated them waiting until it was done and also glad they had a good time with it. That game is fun.

The opening of yesterdays UF reminds me of the Fatheads in Rocko's Modern Life with the one guy laughing hysterically in the background. Bwahahah

Oh, that's pretty cool of them.

Anyway, they really should put a Vinny character in Sleepy Dogs 2. :D

or...

and hear me out.

a spiritual successor to Baby's Day Out, where you play as Maximus Caravella.

Set in Hong Kong obviously.

I paid for a month a little while ago to watch a specific video and I haven't really checked out anything else. Going through the archives is more or less impossible unless you're looking for something specific, so are there any funny or memorable sub only videos I should watch?

I was curious as to whether or not the A.V. Club's "Podmass" podcast review feature had ever covered the Bombcast, and sure enough, they did, way back in January 2012:

Most gaming podcasts seem to focus on news, insider talk, or personal stories related to gaming, but Giant Bombcast does all three. Part of the Giant Bomb gaming site, the podcast features news and discussion of games host Ryan Davis and regular guests Jeff Gerstmann, Vinny Caravella, Brad Shoemaker, and Patrick Klepek are playing. The informal discussion doesn’t follow a strict format, resembling a conversation among gaming enthusiasts listeners are overhearing—as such, it may seem insular to listeners. With such opinionated hosts, the conversations can get heated, but as with any discussion among friends, it quickly de-escalates into playful insults. Episodes frequently go longer than two and a half hours—and one of the year-end episodes from last month lasted a staggering four hours—which makes them too long for a regular commute or workout, so listeners will need to break them up or reserve a sizeable chunk of time to get through each one.

The 180-minute episode for 1/10/12 focuses on Star Wars Old Republic and Skyrim for a long time before shifting to Super Mario 3D Land and some news. The discussion about the games—the hosts all complain that it takes too long to walk anywhere in both SWOR and Skyrim—gets derailed by a pointless tangent comparing Little Caesar’s and Domino’s pizza. For people curious about the 3DS and its battery life, that part of the discussion offers some insight, but too much of the episode is spent off-topic. Giant Bombcast may appeal to those who want to hear opinions about a wide range of games, but anyone looking for something more substantial will be disappointed. [AJ]

Just to make it clear, that was the episode with the talk about Papa Murphy's and Little Caesar's. Basically, BOO THAT MAN

This Hot Wheels game...

Who the hell is it supposed to be made for?

On the surface it sounds all lighthearted and fun - Hot Wheels! Whoo! For kids!

But the gameplay is terrible, it's full of dry, overly verbose instructions, and it's humorless and boring. I didn't even think it'd be possible to suck the fun out of Hot Wheels, but this studio has succeeded...

The Rome II quick look any good? The general giantbomb ineptitude combined with the game's buggy nature could either make a hilarious or frustrating video.

Isn't it usually Drew who does the RTS quick looks? He's pretty competent with them I'd say.

*edit - Ah, I see it's Rorie, Vinny and Jeff

I watched a bit of it. Slightly frustrating for someone who plays the game, but overall it wasn't too bad. Rorie goes in with an open mind even though he isn't the best at explaining/showing the game off.

Hah, listening to the infamous hummingbird mask episode now and I am dying at the discussion.

Man, Ryan was the king of off-topic talk. It's like 60% off-topic talk in this episode.

As a 20-year-old (as of yesterday, yay!) who used to be into hot wheels when I was a kid, I really have no idea. I remember really liking a hot wheels n64 game because the tracks were completely nuts, funky orange and blue "roads" with wheel-boosters and all kinds of references to the actual toys.

This game looks more like what I would have expected a hot wheels game on the n64 to be like.

I absolutely hate in Rayman that holding the run button causes you to run in place while standing still. It makes controlling it way more annoying than it should be.

Hmm, what do you mean by this? I'm not sure I understand the issue.

???? all it does is change the idle animation.

I'm not sure about the sequel but in the first one if you held down the run button and didn't move you started running in place and got a little boost at first, not at all like Mario. It made it difficult (for me) to make jumps from small platforms and whatnot because I wasn't used to that.
