Funniest games of Dota 2 I've seen since GAF's GB tournament run, brilliant episode. 2GD roaming had me in stitches.

Good shit Brad!

Purge and Mike Ross as the next guests please. Or PyrionFlax! He's played with Crispy before.

YES, PLEASE BRAD. MAKE IT SO.

Patrick should give Planetside 2 a try if he wants a multiplayer FPS with room for less combat-heavy classes. It's sad how under-appreciated and ignored that game is.

Couple dud games on Spookin' tonight. Besides Outlast they weren't that great for streaming. Looking forward to SCP when he gets around to it, and the other Halloween stuff.

I really like the recent trend of drew piping in over quick looks.

Which jeff later agreed with after taking the controller from brad.

The point is that he has a habit of immediately blaming the game the very first instant he encounters any form of difficulty in a quick look. He only needed to just crouch for the jack-in-the-box boss. It's pretty irritating that it's so noticeable how often he does it, it started becoming obvious from that quick look of that Last Guardian-ish game where you have a big troll monster thing who follows you around and helps you get through puzzles.

The point is kinda moot when there's actually a problem though.

Also apparently it's not obvious because the two other people sitting in that quick look didn't even think of that as a solution, which I kinda agree as just an observer. Maybe it's just the perspective but I didn't think that you can duck it at first. It's only when I started looking at the comments that I learned about it.

Still one of my favourite green screen moments, Ryan and Jeff out in the field:

And speaking of that, I wish Jeff had had that Bob Barker stick microphone during the PAX panel!

I'm not saying that the game doesn't have a problem with communicating what it wants you to do, although I also think that the Giantbomb crew are in general quite bad at figuring out game mechanics except for Jeff. The thing is that Brad specifically will immediately blame the game whereas the others will sit and consider that maybe *they* are doing something wrong. He ends up coming off as arrogant and obnoxious.

I don't really know what's arrogant about it, obnoxious I guess depending on how annoyed you get. I tend to view it as more being somewhat stubborn and having a pretty single-tracked mind, which leads him to ignore other solutions.

I mean, for this example they are doing something wrong, but the game could maybe also be better at showing what they have to do, i.e. maybe make the glove go upward instead of downward which gives the illusion that you have to jump it. They seem to succeed at doing that a few times, which might have given them the wrong impression. Game design is not exactly infallible. Not to say that there aren't a lot of moments in past quick looks where brad misses something that is obvious.

Great panel. And Jeff can fucking host the hell out of a show.

Edit: People skipping the Q&A, don't. Actually some very good questions, with great answers from the guys, mixed in with the bad.

Alright, now I'm on the side of the guys who hate how the GB guys keep shitting on SR2. SR2 is not a piece of shit, even though it doesn't play as well as 3!

Yeah. Jeff at least should go through and play through the Sons of Samedi missions/ Some really great stuff there that paves the way for 3/4.
