2 years is not enough time for them, look at the gap between Kinetica and God of War, it was 3 years. Not to mention the gap between the first and second games was 2 years and the technology was already largely in place. Add the jump to PS3, mix in epicnessicity, give them time to tweak and perfect it like the other games, and don't forget the traditional March release and you've got a 2010 titleDarkJediKnight said:I agree. 2 Year development time.
The story was pretty much completed when GOW2 was being done. We're going to see the Atlantis level as well as some of the otehr stuff hinted in the 1st and 2nd game.
The leadup time to put things together is cut quite a lot, which should give them more development time.

??
not in it, voted 1
Wasn't a lot of that experimenting with how to do the gameplay, prototyping control schemes and such?
If that's true, this time you can change it to "experimenting with the hardware and prototyping graphical techniques"
I am in the same boat as gofreak, "Coming Soon" likely means a Gamer's Day or E3 reveal but don't expect a full release so soon

I love Greg Miller. Now, we did some research, and it turns out the Webster's New World College Dictionary Fourth Edition defines "soon" as "in a short time (after a time specified or understood); shortly; before long."

Wasn't there someone at E3 06 that said work on 3 had already started? I would not be surprised if it came in 09. The team is large and talented. We know the story and enemy designs are done. Both of those facts make 2009 a real possibility.SolidSnakex said:I think many of you are going to be disappointed if you're really expecting GoW3 next year.
