Thats still an incredible number, and way higher than i would of thought.

It's still an impressive total sales number for a franchise.

GT for me is the number one PS franchise as it's been there from the very beginning but Kratos is definitely a worthy PS mascot. I think he's the most recognisable PlayStation character.

U4, TLL and TNDC have sold several millions of copies since that 2017 article came out.

You mean well over 20m and close to 30m if that number isn't a typo.
But it could be a typo and God of War is over 15m units sold and not the total franchise at over 51m

GOW2 could well be cross gen although I feel like it's really set to launch in 2022 so that would make it less likely. Not too bothered either way but would prefer next gen only.

I remember seeing God of War 2 at the Sony Metreon store in San Francisco and just being BLOWN AWAY by how stunning it looked and what it was doing on PS2 hardware.

I don't know why Sony doesn't give us more information (like Nintendo).
It could be like Microsoft and say nothing, but that's just lame.

It seems GOW sold even more than what was expected.
51M? Simply amazing.

I'm curious to see the Uncharted (and other franchises) numbers...

One of Sonys best franchises. Always consistent quality throughout. 2018 installment was the best so far. Absolutely amazing entry, and probably the most impressive reboot I've ever seen in gaming. Can't wait for Ragnarok.
