Going through Wii games makes me feel so nostalgic. What console makes you feel that?

I was 9 when the Wii came out, but most of my nostalgia is from the N64. All the Nintendo consoles are nostalgic for me since I grew up with all of them. I'd rank the nostalgia as:

1.N64
2.SNES
3.GC
4.DS
5.GBA(/GB/GBC)
6.NES
7.Wii

It was around the beginning of the DS/Wii that I started searching for the new upcoming games I wanted and trying to buy them myself (or asking for them on a list) so those days of autonomy have slightly less childlike wonder.

Gamecube and Game Boy Advance. It's my favourite generation of Nintendo and was when I really got into their games after mainly being a Sega kid and having an N64 for only a year prior to getting the Gamecube and GBA. It's the only section of my physical game collection that I will never part with. I love that era of games, marketing, Nintendo Power, NSider Forums, the accessories (Game Boy Player, GBA to GCN cable, etc), everything.

N64 and Gameboy. I had a Genesis, but I don't get too much nostalgia from that system. Ocarina of Time, Pokemon, Mario 64, Snowboard Kids, Goldeneye, and the Oracle games are what I mainly remember. Oh and Pokemon Snap and Stadium 1 & 2. So much Pokemon...

The original PlayStation. My mother bought me that console on a sick day and the only games I had for months were Star Wars: Masters of Teräs Käsi and Crash 2. What a time!

When NBA Live '98 came out and Smackdown 1 a couple years later, I would sneak in any time I could get to play!

PS1. FFIX remains my favorite game ever to this day.

NES and SNES somewhat, but I wasn't old enough to truly assimilate and understand the more meaningful games (like Chrono Trigger, FFVI, Super Metroid, etc.).

PS1 era has a lot of cozy memories for me too. I was a kid back then and being on summer break from school with no responsibility and a stack of JRPGS to play.... man I didn't know what I had. :(

Probably PS1, even though I was 13 when that released. I played games through the latter part of the 8bit generation and the 16bit generation, but when I was in elementary school, video games were something to play when there was nothing better to do.

My period of heavy videogame consumption was basically from 14-18, and to a lesser extent during my university days. As such, those are the consoles I connect to most strongly.

NES, SNES, Megadrive. Those were my formative years, so I have the fondest memories of those systems and games.

I was around 10~11 when Wii released (I got one the month it released), so I can relate to, for the first time, start looking for gaming related message boards online just because of it. But actual nostalgia I only feel when playing N64.

I can jump on the "Wii is retro" train, I was in 6th grade being hyped for that thing. Nearly two gens back, seems like another age now.

SNES is the one I am most nostalgic for. I had an NES and Atari but that was before I actually cared about games much. SNES games just have so many great soundtracks that bring me back. Super Metroid, Earthbound, Chrono Trigger, DKC are the titles I think back on most.

Also having two brothers it was a great time with fighting games. Played so much Street Fighter 2, Turbo, Super, Mortal Kombat, and the countless street fighter clones. I was only able to try out so many games thanks to Blockbuster. :P

I had a C64, and as much as I loved it, I always wanted an NES.

I think not actually owning an NES added to its mysticism. Me and my friends would spend our weekends in Debenhams playing the timed demo unit.

We'd see how far we could make it into SMB via warp pipes etc before the five minute timer reset it.

Good times.

Gens 3 through 6. Wii was 10 years and change ago, but that isn't quite long enough for me to feel nostalgia yet. Probably in a handful or more years.

nostalgia hits me hardest with the n64. Many of all-time favorites were on it and I have various memories tied to several n64 games. Makes it a real pain when ranking consoles.

The 16 bit era is my nostalgia phase. Takes me from about age 7 in 1990 through to early teens in about 1997. Also the N64 and PS1 to a slightly lesser extent.

Give me some Sonic 2, Yoshi's Island or Terranigma for the full childhood/teen experience.

C-64. I freaking loved that thing. Been playing video games for over 35 years, and nothing was more pure magic for me than that.

I was in high school during the Wii's life cycle. Tons of great memories playing Brawl and Wii bowling. Wouldn't say I'm that nostalgic for it though. N64 holds that spot for me.

Anything prior to the PS2/Dreamcast/Xbox era, really. But especially the SNES as that was the first console I really amassed a collection of games for myself, instead of just playing what others gave me.

Gamecube and PS2 are the best. Nothing will make me feel nostalgic like Mario Sunshine, Luigi's Mansion, Battlefront 2, and Marvel vs Capcom 2. DK64 and Crash Bandicoot 2 are pretty cool too.

SNES for sure.

I started gaming with a little Atari 5200, and really with the NES. But SNES has my fondest memories as I was 12 when it came out and I think 13 when we finally got one. So it hit my peak gaming years.

Plus I still enjoy those games when I fire them up on an emulator, where as most NES games and older just didn't age well for me with a few exceptions.
