Came here to post thiiiiiiis.

So good.

Also, +1 for Clone High. I really enjoyed it! One of the few MTV shows that actually made me laugh. Mission Hill was alright.

Also, Garfield and Friends. Despite having a long run, it was actually quite good and pretty funny, and I'll bet my Klopman Diamond that none of you will disagree.

3-South is one of the most amazing shows I've ever seen. It made me laugh so hard, and it had The Flaming Lips for a theme song.

It only got 1 season and a few unreleased episodes that have only come out with distorted audio.

clicked on this thread to post exactly this. show was surprisingly hilarious for something on MTV. the art style also reminded me of the far side a whole lot.

undergrads was pretty alright too.

Came in here to say the critic and megas xlr. So happy other people on GAF brought up the slack :)

Chicks dig giant robots!

Edit, holy shit. Dom deluises son was the voice of coop! And a bunch of cowboy bebop voices were other characters. Why'd It get cancelled :/

what happened to invader zim

*sigh* Invader Zim, probably my favorite short lived cartoon.

Cancelled after 2 seasons and it was only meant to go 3 with a series finale movie.

Low ratings may be explained by no advertising and horrible time slots(first episode had no lead in and it debuted on Friday at midnight COME ON Nick!).

Legion of Super Heroes. Only two seasons, killed just when it was hitting its stride. Also, season 2 has never been released on DVD (this is a custom cover here). Both things are also true of:

The Zeta Project.

Didn't realize mighty max only got two seasons. Seriously one of my favorite shows ever. I hope and pray that it comes to DVD or something one day.

Did have an awesome finale at least

just remembered the rebooted anime version of Thundercats that got cancelled.

that shit was amazing.

Cartoon Network why do you suck so much.

pirates-of-dark-water.jpg

Wiki said:
The alien world of Mer is being devoured by an evil substance known as Dark Water. Only Ren, a young prince, can stop it by finding the lost Thirteen Treasures of Rule. His loyal crew of misfits that help in his journey are an ecomancer (Tula), a monkey-bird (Niddler), and a treasure hungry pirate (Ioz). The evil pirate lord, Bloth, will stop at nothing to get the treasures for himself and provides many obstacles for Ren and his crew.

The series was never completed, ending abruptly after 21 episodes with only eight of the thirteen treasures collected.

Was going to add this too.

I thought that went through its full run?

Only seventeen eps I think. Same as Aeon Flux, but I'm not sure it counts here. How long did Spawn run?

If we're looking for classics, I enjoyed:

TURBO TEEN! ...actually probably better this didn't last too long...

Pirates of dark water. I think I read they didn't even air two episodes which would have at least finished the story.

Edit: oh shit someone mentioned it. Respect. I did a ctr+f for pirate but nothing came up what the hell!

Edit 2: I think that cartoon actually defined my preference in women now that I look at the characters again.

Symbionic Titan

I don't usually care that much about robot/mecha stuff but goddamn that show had potential and some exceptional episodes. Poor Genndy Tartakovsky. :(

Young Justice. :(

Spectacular Spider-Man. Suck every dick Sony.

Spawn on HBO moved so, so slowly then got cancelled before anything interesting happened.

I thought Duckman ended just in time.

wow only one mention of batman beyond in two pages of posts, you've got to be fucking kidding me gaf....

inappropriately mature for a Saturday morning cartoon
dark storylines and vilians
cyberpunk
awesome music

just remembered one that isnt an animated show, it used claymation.

Moral Orel.

that show was so fucking good.

it got VERY dark and disturbing towards the end, it shoulda went on longer and got a real ending.

from what i hear happened was, Adult Swim bought the show on the premise that it was a Davey and Goliath spoof. well, apparently the shows creator was going through a divorce and got super depressed, and then the show got really fucking demented. AS didnt like how much the show changed and cancelled it.

Moral Orel had a lot of heart, it could be silly, but also very real. the show was pretty twisted, i loved it.

Holy crap, Turbo Teen - I haven't thought about that cartoon probably since it stopped showing on TV.

And I know I can add to this thread but I'm kinda tired right now.

Many people have named the shows I would've already, but I need to throw out some love for Motorcity... and probably Tron: Uprising (any day now, sigh).

Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better than the last movies. Character portrayal is leagues above what the movies failed at doing. It's a profound injustice that it's been seemingly buried by the CG series bearing the same name.

Also, I feel Invader Zim should have at least had one more season. It ended on frikin X-mas special for crying out loud.

Spectacular Spiderman.

fuck Sony.

Megas XLR was amazing.

Symbionic Titan was one of the best shows ever made.

Samurai Jack, a classic.

Cartoon Network is horrible at cancelling great shows.

This pretty much covers it.

i loved this show.

also it got an ending via another DC show, someone posted it earlier.

also you can buy the entire series on DVD.

http://www.amazon.com/dp/B003XMZVHY/?tag=neogaf0e-20

It also has it's own comic covering events after the show ended. It's digital, $0.99 an issue, and is pretty awesome. (well currently anyway, there are two trades out for it too which you should get).

Seriously. I just spent 30 mins looking for megas xlr on DVD :(

Sadly, I don't think that exists. :(

Thank god for VHS to DVD conversions. Also downloading DVDs onto a computer.

id watch an unlimited amount of episodes of tailspin, real ghostbusters, and the 90s x-men.

though the last two were slipping in later seasons
