Probably Nexus S although there's that Galaxy Nexus that's being sold for $350.

EDIT - Actually, CM10 could probably make it run on a bunch of cheaper phones as well

Nexus Q Media Streamer - Physical Impressions

I have to admit I was originally a bit uncertain about what functionality the Nexus Q would deliver and how it fits in with Google TV, but all makes sense now. The device is really an accessory to everything visual and audio under the Google Play umbrella. That means Google Play Music, Movies, YouTube, and so on can be played back through the Nexus Q to an attached TV or A/V Receiver. If you're the visual type, just watch the video and all will be explained. If not, read on.

I'll wait to see what the hackers do with it.

does anyone know if Chrome for Android (the stable version released today) supports WebGL?

I don't know much about phones so I have to ask, does the Galaxy Nexus has anything over the Galaxy S3 at all?

No nasty hardware buttons. Jelly Bean months in advance, too. Better form factor IMO.

$350 just for the phone? There's no way I'll be able to talk my friends into that.

What does an iPhone 4S cost nowadays?
200 on contract, starts at 650 off. 350 for a nexus off contract is fantastic. I'm going to request my company pick up a couple at that price.

Here in Canada, you can still buy a locked Galaxy Nexus from service providers for 600$.

Google needs to free us from carrier tyrrany.

It's a shame google doesn't sell the phone to Canada. Would definitely be a big fuck you to the carriers here, then again they're already selling off all their stock so it looks like they are looking to dump it completely before it happens. Guess they figure the S3 is all they need. Which is probably true, sadly enough.

<3 I do love my fellow Nexus brethren.

I really need to use calc() one of these days... so cool.

Google TV fielding questions for the Nexus Q on G+.

more updates about the nexus q to be released later and possibly more updates down the road. -Kevin

Too bad it's way too expensive and should be cheaper than a Roku base model.

Doesn't T-Mobile have a plan specifically for people that buy phones off contract where you don't pay the subsidy fee each month?
I pay $30 a month for 100 mins, unlimited text and 5gb 4g. Every min over 100 is 10 cents and I mostly use grooveIP if I need to make calls. So really I've made up the cost of the phone almost by saving close to $70 a month using this plan.

But... Google Now isn't the Siri competitor, is it? Now seemed like something entirely different to me - a way to automatically get the information Google thinks you'd want at a certain time or in a certain location, depending on what you've previously searched for, etc. It has nothing to do with voice (asking for information, telling the phone to do stuff, etc.), which is what Siri is all about. What seemed much more Siri-like was the improved voice search which uses the knowledge graph to actually "understand" what you're asking. And that's something entirely different from Now, as fas as I can tell.

EDIT: Well, I guess these things will be working together. But Now on its own doesn't seem to be the answer to Siri.

Yeah. That's not really similar to Siri. The voice search they showed, on the other hand, is.
