App encryption is a huge deal for those interested in the gaming prospects of the platform. Oh, and delta updates too (Apple needs to get on that shit).

So yeah, this is the most impressive Android iteration by far. Less than new features, Google absolutely needed to iron out what they already had. The best phone OS just got MUCH better.

Also...triple buffered transitions and synchronized system events in the GUI make me soooooo glad in the right places.

But how's the disgusting audio delay? Have they fixed that yet?

Recently we were all playing with GarageBand on an iPad at the store, and everyone wanted it. I came home, downloaded a piano app for my CM9 TouchPad, and everyone walked away from it after a few minutes. Why? There was like a half second sound delay on keypress. I downloaded more musical instrument apps, and they were all like that. It's a massive flaw with Android, apparently.

I'm curious as to whether google is genuinely so clueless as to think think will be anything near remotely successful. They are dedicating a lot of time to it, which makes me think they don't realize it won't be.

:/
