Oh hey Raistlin isn't excited about something awesome Google announced. I'M SO SHOCKED
WTF are you talking about? I have 3 Android tablets lol. Nice attempt to dismiss my comments.

I think it's cool ... I just don't understand why people are freaking out like it's non-existent tech until now. It's really not

Pretty cool demo but didn't really show off anything amazing. Seems to be just an eye-mounted camera at this point.

I wanna see a HUD and augmented reality/techno stuff.

Didn't they see they wouldn't even call Google Glasses "alpha"? It's obvious they don't want to show everything so far.

But that's really just showing off a feature of Google Plus (and it exists on a number of services) ... nothing that makes the glasses special beyond a cool form-factor

Isn't that like saying when the iPhone was unveiled what's the big deal about seeing the full web in a browser? You're just showing the Internet. The form factor and device that allows you to do that is a big deal.

looking forward to jellybean update early doors for my xoom.

£200 for the 16gb tablet is kool with me. My son loves using my xoom and watches a whole heap of vids on so a 7 inch tablet will be good for him.

I was excited for it's absurdity.

I agree, the idea is cool but this demo makes it look like it's just a web connected camera.

Keynotes do strange things to people. It was a pretty cool thing to do live(none of which were very spectacular in and of themselves). So far all we have seen is a head mounted cam with internet connectivity.

1. It is ugly as sin.

2. It (edit: appears that it) blocks about 20% of the periphery of one eye

It's cool but there's no fucking way someone can wear that all day like normal glasses.
