Like I said, they are trying to market it to the billionaire, spelunking, BASE-jumping crowd.

There are helmet cams that are ten times better, for a fraction of the price.
The possibilities are there, but showing such a completely unfinished product and then selling a beta product for 1500 dollars is quite silly.

Why is everyone freaking out over the price? It's a limited run piece of development hardware. You realize console devkits used to cost like $10-20k right?

I'm guessing it's $1500 because it's not being mass produced yet?

90% sure you're right. They're probably hand-assembling these at Google X using custom-ordered parts. And it seems like it has a computer built-in, not just using your Android phone.

I bet some will, but they seemed to handle the Cr-48 OK so I have hope the majority won't be that dumb.

The alpha versions aren't hitting until like 6 months from now dude.

As an engineer, I would like some hypothetical use cases. That's all. All they talked about was video and pictures.

Goddamn giving away $850 worth of electronics. v_v

Way to make it about the conference about developers and not tech bloggers/device scalpers.

It was cool the first time they did it but now all the devs are getting squeezed out of a fricking developer's conference.

Yes I'm bitter.
