The city has become increasingly expensive to live because the tech companies rising up in the area and people are being forced out by the landlords to accommodate people who are willing to pay more.

Battery saver mode is nice, but I kinda feel depressed that we're forced to this rather than the devices getting better batterylife.

Apple has great battery life because they design the hardware around it. Not every Android OEM cares about AMAZING battery life, and it seems Google is also targeting third world markets with cheaper hardware, which I doubt will have big batteries.

I haven't been paying attention entirely, but there have been protests in San Fran due to it getting so costly to live there due to the tech there, at least from what I gathered, I am not entirely sure though.

They didn't name them directly like Cook did at his conference but yeah the implication was there. Google innovating while others just copy.

Devices are getting better battery life.
I have a Z2 and the battery life on that is out of this world. I easily get 8 hours of screen on time per charge, thing lasts a week off the charger with 5 hours of screen on time. The only thing that really drains the batter is GPS.

Most people I know that have an iPhone complain of battery issues the same as everyone else.

I've never heard of a person having all-day battery life with an iPhone unless they didn't use it at all.
