I think the difference is that there's nothing secret at all in the PM. May be a move made in poor judgement regardless, but it's just an iteration of what's known, not something that can incriminate him, not obviously anyway.
Eh? How is one poster posting a PM they had with CBOAT mean that another person has to post a PM they received from him?
It's up to Bish, just as it was up to the OP to make this thread. You verifying and critiquing info doesn't really mean much to anyone without compelling discourse or info. So I don't think Bish is going to help you out with that situation.

This is a load of shit that has been making its rounds for a while now. The Xbox is not being singled out. People raked Sony over the coals last generation with the 599 price point, giant enemy crab, the PS3 has no gamez, Lair/Haze, the PS3's struggling online community, etc. And Sony deserved every single bit of it. But now that Microsoft has fumbled the ball and traded places with Sony a certain sect of this community is trying to pull this card. Am I supposed to feel sorry for a company that squandered everything they had? Microsoft is now a victim? What a load of shit.
It's the same three or four people in every thread trying to make Microsoft out as a victim and working overtime to defend a company. Sad.

FamousMortimer and Thuway shared that actually and it wasn't just generally full of bugs according to their sources, it was very specific functions like Snapping certain combinations of apps while gaming that were causing major problems. What controlled demos we've seen since then have been fine but that's exactly what they been; controlled. And they never said those problems wouldn't be alleviated somewhat by launch. We won't know until it's out in the wild.
Which means it's not something you can starting calling "false" over yet.
I would bet you 99% of what he says breaks an NDA. Im not saying him leaving would reveal who he/she is or to say everything he/she couldn't before.
Your right not everyone can just up and leave but man would it be depressing. I would be looking to get out asap if I felt as strong as cboat does.

Its always intentionally unclear and misspelled on purpose. Give me a break. If you want it to mean something you can definitely give it meaning. I see them as a FUD campaign against xb1.

I wasn't around on GAF when the PS3 launched, but from what I heard people walloped the PS3 for a while. The idea that people only target Microsoft is indeed bullshit, the Wii-U has endured constant joking and scrutiny, same thing with the Vita, Ouya, iOS, Valve and their decisions having to do with Steam and other things.
Anything and everything is a target for criticism. And instead of battling critical observations or thoughts, some people just whine instead.

When the X1 has bad news, it's the same people over and over coming to defend Microsoft at all cost. No one is singling them out, same thing happens to Sony or Nintendo when bad news comes in.

cboat has been doing that for about 9 years now, if I remember correctly he leaked the VA list for san andreas as his first leak. he is not some conspiracy ghost meant to terrorize the last born child of allard
I would honestly say that Vita's died down quite a bit. Nobody makes vita troll threads like they do nintendo, but it's probably because nobody even gives a fuck about the vita anymore.

I don't think a thread based mostly around a quote like "Lot more shit I never talk about because I have no proof, and because it's to explosive." should be acceptable in any case. Even with there likely being truth behind it it's pure FUD presented in this manner. There's a reason he hasn't posted the aforementioned "shit" and I strongly disagree with a thread being made to simply say "there's more bad stuff about [X] but it can't be talked about". Especially since this was likely never intended to reach the general GAF public's eyes.

I could be wrong but anytime I peak in one of these threads it looks like FUD. No substantial info ever. It's all easy speculation. Not hard to throw stuff against the wall Ms is hardly unpredictable. People had concerns about xb1 before launch similar to his revelations. Easy guesses.
I'm really apalled by it, I thought the guy worked for MS? (or close to them?) does he not like having a job?
There's a difference between helping people / advising them (giving them truth, if there's spin) and outright hinting that your goal was for people to not buy it. That seems a bit evil to me personally.
I'm not even buying one but more power to the Xbox fans who like the franchises and features of the console.

Yeah he posted leaks about the 360 before that was out--he's been around the block for a while. We think he's a MS insider since he's more accurate with MS info than Sony and he has a lot more rumors about Xbone, not to mention the 360 stuff.
I don't think it was Quantum Break (unless he did that too) but CBOAT did post a gif of Remember Me 2/3 months before the game was actually revealed.

I don't want anything that PS+ offers other than the MP. I don't give a shit what Xbox Live Gold brings other than MP. I have to pay for online on both. This isn't a value vs value argument. It's Sony placing MP behind a paywall just like Gold. Sounds pretty anti-consumer to me. Those buying PS4 are bad for the industry?

Like most rational future X1 owners, I would put off buying one if it was prone to breakdowns, but that's unlikely from what we know. What I don't like about this Cboat post, is that he believes what he's revealed so far, should be enough to put people off. Like fuck it should!
I could care less about whether a game is 720p/900p/1080p, all that matters is that I can play fun games and enjoy other media on my console. As it stands, X1 does that for me and a lot of others, better than the PS4 currently.

Because a company that would even consider implementing such policies, and would have if not for the intervention of watchdog websites and consumer advocacy groups, should not earn your money. The policies may not be in place, but the people who made decisions like that possible very much are.
Oh but it is! It's just that, as a normal human being, you have different values than the majority of games enthusiasts. Understanding that you have different value sets is a very important part of intellectual discourse. There is nothing wrong with you valuing the free games differently, but you shouldn't be hostile when you find out others value them very highly.

I don't want it to bomb or have major problems at launch. I do see it being #2 in sales + install base. I will get it eventually for exclusives but after 10+ years of being XBLG and a loyal Xbox first guy I will be Sony as my go to console.
