A for the meltdowns I've seen from people who thought the new Final Fantasy Origins title would be PS5 exclusive, and was confidently telling me it was on this very forum for weeks.

For a split second, I thought we were getting console Octopath Traveler style remakes of Final Fantasy 1 through 6. That would have made the show an instant A.

Instead, we got more mobile versions of these games for iOS and Android.

Yes.

So much stuff on game pass, Forza Horizon 5 was extremely pretty, Flight Simulator is coming, that Redfall game seems interesting, Age of Empires 4 release date and that Contraband game announcement was cool (I like Avalanche games a lot).

What are the chance that they kept FF16 for the Playstation show? Please, let me have some hopes for something good from Square-Enix.
 
In their credit they actually showed a lot of actual gameplay footage, unlike a certain other presser today.
But, yeesh. Really felt like they screwed the pooch with the presentation.

I actually think the games will be good, by and large by launch. But boy, they did them no favours showing them that way.

Square Enix is my favorite 3rd party of all times, there is not one third party company that is better than them in my opinion but even I have to admit that this is the worst E3 showing that I've ever seen from any company in my whole life. I'll give this the grade of CHAOS, which is better known as the letter F
 
What a disaster of a conference. Guardians of the Galaxy looked like it needs another two years of development time. Stranger of Paradise should have been a slam dunk, a Final Fantasy Souls-like from the Nioh devs, but instead it was written by a Japanese Insane Asylum. Everything else was forgettable.

The best thing shown was a remaster of a 20 year old PS1 game.

Oh man. I haven't paid attention to E3 in half a decade but the comments about this trailer had me watching it alongside the other big SE announcements.

Square Enix is in for a very rough few years, hopefully they'll make enough off of FFXIV expansions and eventually the FF7R sequel to offset the bombs they've got coming down the pipe. The saddest part was watching the Babylon's Fall trailer after Origins and it looking arguably even worse.

Garbage, unironically only CHAOS saved, even Babylon's Fall looks disappointing. At this rate only Microsoft will be the flag carrier of E3.
 
After they are done with Legend of Mana they might as well give Vagrant Story the same treatment. Its WAY overdue. Other than being dissapointed for not seeing the announcement of the FFVII PC port seems that this conference was all right.
 
One of the worst E3 conferences ever. I know Square has some good games coming but they should have skipped E3 if they weren't going to show those.
 
Holy shit, that Final Fantasy Origin trailer has got to be the cheesiest thing I've ever seen. Jesus... lmao. That didn't make me want that AT ALL.
 
I thought the Guardians of the Galaxy looked really impressive from a graphics technology standpoint and also art direction but the humanoid faces of the characters just lacks crispness and memorable personality compared to the movie counter part. They look like some character generator rather than meticulously crafter memorable faces. This was graphically my only real gripe with the Avengers game as well, they need tog get some one else in charge of deciding on the characters look.

The other games didn't really impress that much, Babylon seem to have a cool painterly filter applied which I'd like to see more of in less compressed images/videos, the Chaos trailer wasn't great, it came of as silly, stupidly repetitive and graphically last gen. Character models were fine but the lighting was flat and dull looking.
 
Even in Ubisoft show which I hate 99% of their games showed me game I'm looking forward like Mario + Rabbits.

With SE, they wasted soooooo much god damn time in fucking Marvel games and disappointed me with the game I was perviously looking forward to, SE's E3 is by far their worst.
 
Think what bugs me is that they had stuff to show and I would have been satisfied if they gave me a new trailer for TWEWY which releases literally in a month or something for XIV Endwalker. But if that was all distributed between a State of Play or Nintendo Direct then there really wasn't any reason to show up and do something. GOTG also overstayed its welcome by quite a lot, but I guess that was the main deal in the first place.

No localization announcements for DQ that came from the DQ Anniversary, no Triangle Strategy or anything. Seemed better to just be there as an exhibitor than have your own show. They have a great line up of games from their Japanese branch, but the presentation was a dud.
 
We can all agree that big third party like Ubisoft,EA, Square devs have lost their magic and stopped evolving.

it is so bad that most if not all the indies games shown earlier at MS event, all of them looked more exciting.

thankfully for those people, origin looked so bad, they can excused themselves for the misplaced confidence.

will probably try origin once it hits Gamepass

I don't get this babylon'd fall game. is this a PS3 game ?

The graphics are from the ice age, blurry as fuck even on full HD. animation is a PS2 level enhanced to PS3 level.

is this game made by the janitor at Platinum games?

I honestly had to check the resolution twice on the youtube video and was wondering if my internet was experiencing downtime for these shitty graphics.

I am interested in the guardians game but it suffers from the same issues as the avengers game ugly ass character design. But I would still dig if it has decent gameplay. Everything else looked fucking underwhelming... I mean ffxvi was graphically meh during its debut trailer but everything shown here O'Day besides gotg looked even worse 😳
