I've spent about 15 hours with the game now, and I love it. It's GT through and through and it's like an old friend has returned that you haven't seen for years. I loved the original PlayStation GT when it first came out and like lots of us (although clearly not all of us based on some comments here) have owned and played all of the other games too. It really is a superb game although not too many changes have been made, the new things that are introduced are great. The leveling system is really nice and its good that you aren't getting awarded with Audi TTs for completing the Audi TT event.
Not tried online, don't really care much about it to be honest. I am much more interesting in Time Trial and Drift Trial leaderboards than actual online racing.
The handling of the vehicles really is class leading, they feel so good to drive around a track and most recent new love, the Toyota FT86 Concept is just fucking incredible. It's just so controllable through corners and its so easy to drift and hold it, just like the real car is/will be. Brilliant.
It's ace seeing all the new events to play and then searching through the Used Car pages to find a piece of junk to drive around in, GT for me is as much about the little cars as it is Le Mans, Rally and 1000bhp Skylines. Karting is fucking cool as shit! Want me some more of that!

Fucking Nascar and Jeff Gordon. Who gives a shit about this sport? And yes, I'm American. SMH @ beginner challenge 2 in that mode. Because I keep getting past 3/4 and then the third car will slam into me ruining my chance to draft the second or first car to overtake to beat the challenge.

Got my copy today, they were out of the Collector's Editions so I had to settle for the standard. This is someone who played GT4 for only a few hours before getting bored just so you know, because I just didn't find it fun to drive but this is great, the cars feel so good and driving is so enjoyable. Been glued to it all day when I should be preapring for a job interview tomorrow :lol I'm officially getting addicted. -_-

Woohoo, I can stop grinding for now. I just hit 2000km total distance and was awarded a car ticket. Unlocked a Chaparral 2D race car so hopefully I can complete the classic events with it.

OMG, This game is sooooooooo good!
The physics are awesome, cars handle sooooooo good (even with a controller), kart racing is awesome (even with a controller!), I love the leveling system, photomode is awesome.
Only downsides- been very easy so far, opponents, even with similar cars, have put up no fight in any races, too easy to make money. I've completed 1 A-spec race and a few special event races and already I've won almost $50,000. :lol It's also a bit disappointing the first time you go to a dealership and see how few premium cars there actually is.
OMG though, sooooooooooo good. I'll be up past 3am playing this.

it is a bit easy to kick off. that's probably my biggest gripe. (other than the fact it thinks my clock is set wrong. no, mr. turismo, it is you who is wrong)
but this is GT. complaining about it being too easy is like complaining about a soft touch from mike tyson

Seriously, I'm glad I'm single after all again. This game is eating my life. I've clocked 35hrs of gameplay since I got the game - which was 2 1/2 days ago.

In fact, pretty sure this game was made for Chemical Brothers tracks. Cruising around the 'ring in some kind of Beamer to the tune of Star Guitar would be epic.

But it looks like i can finish carrear mode in a week. (45 a spec events, 7 special ones and 60 licenses, minus the eventual 24hs endurance).
Carrear really looks small compared to other GT´s.
What´s with all these people getting all golds? Is it easier than in previous GT´s?

The Top Gear SambaBus Race is one of the stupidest fucking things the series has ever seen. After numerous tries, numerous times the AI totally spinning me out and fucking my asshole, and getting nudged out of bounds at the very end like 5 times, I got the gold. But that was easily one of the most frustrating events in a racer ever.

Pass the first one on first corner, next 2, 1 each side of next corner, 4th in to the next, pass 2 possibly 3 in to the hammerhead (you can brake so much later) keep up through the follow through and try and grab one possibly two at gambon. Rinse and repeat, that's what I more or less did.TheSeks said:
