doesn't the driver gain XP in every race so that they eventually get better? don't know how much B-spec works yet because i don't have the effin game yet :lol

I'm having an unusual amount of fun with B-spec. It shouldn't be enjoyable because I'm doing sweet fuck-all but playing pseudo-manager is kinda fucking cool!

Yeah, but I want Gold, damn it. JUST SLAM THE OTHER CARS OUT OF THE WAY, THERE IS NO PENALTY FOR THAT, AI! >:(

Yep, they get a little bit better as they progress but it can still be tough. If too tough, you can still upgrade your car a little bit to give him more chance to finish ahead.
 
Man, my only annoyance with this game is never knowing which car to get for the A-Spec events. When i enter a new one, I always have to look at what is accepted in the cars list, then back out a load of times to go to the dealership and then, as I know nothing about cars, guess which one would be good and buy it.

Is there any sort of guide for which car to get for which event yet? An online would make the experience of single player so much better for me "/
 
Sat down to play GT5 at like 9pm... and now it's 5:37 am. :lol

The last license test in A on gold took a while, had to get from 16 to 1st in one lap in an underpowered car.

Just use the garage icon at the bottom right in the selected race? No need to go all the way back :O
 
Can someone tell me how to take pics from inside of the car?
Can't find the option for it...if there is one that is.
Edit: When are the leaderboards coming into effect?
 
Absolutely love the game!
Got myself some good ol' American muscle cars and modding the hell out of them.

One question, how can you replay races/cups without going back to the main menu?
Cause I dont see any race button after the finish screen, only replay,save replay, exit.
However the Special events you can re-race them immediately.

I don't want to go into this time consuming loop and I cant believe this is not possible.
resetting the race before finishing is a lame alternative.

It's not hard (well, it is hard but...). I told of a method in the last few pages: Overtake on the turn TO THE LEFT after the followthrough and before the Gambon. You have to watch your speed, AVOID RED CONES they auto-DQ. Don't slam into others above 40MPH as it auto-DQ's.

Otherwise it's a bit of luck and getting the hippy bus up to speed.

PS: An engine chip and better tires should help... ;)

I've the exact same setup on my original 60gb and had issues with a couple of games stuttering during/after installs. Think it was in the Wipeout HD thread that we narrowed it down to the Sammy 320gb's causing the game to lock up/ skip music but I could be wrong.

I've had the game 24 hours and only managed to watch the install screen and the intro as the other half and little one are ill and have taken over the front room to recover in. Wonder if I can persuade them they will get better quicker at the In-Laws where it's quieter :D
 
Just tried head tracking.

Ow, my poor head. It'll probably be good if I can get it tweaked right... but at max sensitivity, it provides adequate tilt at the cost of a lot of jittering...

Plus you can only use it while inside the car cockpit... which is bulldang-ers, considering the number of cars WITHOUT the cockpit.

I'll probably just keep with the bumper cam view. Still no reports on triple monitor support as well.
 
So my first car is a used Mitsubishi FTO GR 97 and its actually pretty good in terms of performance (for a 1st).

And I know the standard cars are known to look pretty bad but Damn... check out the jaggies around the window, they couldnt clean that up even a little? lol

Just picked up a G27. It's awesome. Now just need to wait for my cockpit to arrive.

Anyway, for those using a wheel here, is it possible to use a wheel for racing and the controller for navigating the menus? It doesn't seem to work for mine and it's quite a pain to use the dpad on the shifter to navigate the menus.

I have a Dodge Challenger that is fuming with powrr but can't get into a gear higher than 5th so I am stuck at a low high speed. I can't buy the 6 gear transmission for it and I don't know if the custom one helps me out here. I am not that great when it comes to the car tech site, so if anyone can help me out it would be appreciated.

Yes, if you see them they are Premium. :D

All dealer cars are Premium, all second hand cars are Standard ...

Dealer = All Premiums
Used car lot = All Standard.

I had this exact problem with a Dodge Challenger, 6 speed adjustable gearbox is your friend

Go to the Lexus dealership and do a demo on the LFA (press start :P)

I did a demo run yesterday. Sounds nice, but as with GT, it could be better :x

Is the custom soundtrack thing not supporting AAC files a GT5 limitation or all PS3 games that have custom soundtracks. I get most of my music off iTunes so its kinda annoying.

That helped, but he still only takes third. Stupid AI driver. I see flipping holes in their overtaking by giving you a wide turn/cut-them-off, and yet you don't take it. ARGH.
 
I'm at level 9 actually and except the go.kart the game gave to me i have only standard cars.

Love the fact i have the chance to buy so much vehicles, so i'm glad PD add so many cars!

After every race i take a look at the second hand market to see if something interesting pop-up and yesterday finally i brought an old ('68) japanese car, ready to kick some ass in A-SPEC!

Love the game... this is my third GT because after the second game Gt become in my opinion too boring. This is not the case anymore!

yeah the demo is pretty cool but not the same sound in cockpit so i cant tell from there
 
''cherry moon'' by lorn is a damn nice track. the music selection's ace.

a lot of the trailer music is in there, but i can't find the e3 2k9 trailer music. bummer.

i've barely touched the surface of this game. i've played around with the license tests (love that song that happy song plays during the menus) a little, but i've spent most of my time in the menus. :lol
 
Top Gear bus race was fun. Was expecting some kind of hellish torture, but it was fun.

Shouldn't be too hard to be in 1st place by the hammerhead on the second lap.
