You'll have to check with someone that's played online since the patch. But before the patch they did allow tuned models to be used.

I hope so man! And to be honest I think I will love it. I don't want to come over as a negative poster here like people who haven't played a certain game and come and complain about all the negative stuff they hear :P.

The G25 really kept its value, It was like $250 3 years ago when I got it, and it's still going for that same price on ebay right now ... wow. Used too. Maybe I should consider selling mine to replace it with a fanatec wheel + clubsport pedals. :D
 
Damn, torn again as to what the best setting is. Now I think 1080p + sharpen delivers the absolute best picture!

I had been using the rain track as my testbed, but I think that this will look a little more blurred no matter what setting is chosen due to the weather effects. Switched to a clear, sunny track like Deep Forest and I could see a tiny difference. I don't care if it's in my head - i'm sticking with it because it looks fantastic, especially the replays. Adjusting my viewing distance probably also helped, because since I am playing on a monitor any difference in distance is multiplied.


Oh, and another superb feature found - access to the garage in the race selection screen, which will filter your whole garage to only include the eligible cars and even sort them by power. Finally got round to doing the FF races with my best FF car thanks to this.
 
Well I'm using the Camaro SS as my big investment car, it looks amazing with a body kit on it. I was actually surprised by all the options they had for it. Its actually one of the best performance bargains in the game, 426hp for just 35k creds? Much better deal than either the Challenger SRT or the insanely overpriced Mustang GT (WTF where's a new GT500 or at least a '11 5.0 GT?).
 
After playing a bit with the DFGT and the Dual Shock 3, I sorta prefer the DS3 :S

It's kind of a hassle setting up the wheel every time and using the DFGT on a dirt course scared the shit out of me.

Has it been confirmed you can give a car to a friend and be gifted it back after use? Do you get the paint colour for the car (new cars) too?

I'm gonna use the same car for my big money investment as well. I figure I can use it for the Muscle Car challenges and Super Car ones too. Maybe even take it online.
 
i just tackled the first top gear event. that was pretty great, actually. didn't know driving with such slow vehicles could be so much fun, haha.
 
RUF owners, don't give up on the car because it is hard to drive. The cars require a little bit of tuning and love but can be turned into absolute beasts. My BTR smokes the Ring in 8 minutes. And it doesn't even have a bigger turbo or engine upgrades. So good to drift through the high speed corners...

can't you adjust the degrees to something less than 900? I used to do that in Shift.
 
My Driving Force GT arrived today, and so far I'm liking it a lot. So much better than using a controller. The only thing that bothers me a bit is that it isn't very smooth when turning the wheel and it makes a lot of noise.
 
I've tried searching the thread but is anyone else getting black borders all the way around the screen whilst in 720p? It's the only game that has ever done this and they're not there on my girlfriends 1080p TV...!

Game looks ace her TV though!
 
Huh? @ Thread Title. I swear Mods need to stop changing titles trying to be funny in threads when they completely fail at it. :/
 
My B-Spec driver just hit level 12. I love it, such an easy way to bring in some credits while I need to do other stuff. Bestest feature.

Dam, you have a BTR, I have been looking for that car for 2 days now. I want to use the BTR as my main car. I was able to get the Yellow Bird and the RGT though.

At what level can you start to leave them to their devices? My highest one is level 5 and I'm not sure I'd trust him to go without supervision yet on all but the very easiest of races.

In the options you can change the size of the screen.
