I didn't get the code. Do I need to wait for the friends I selected to accept my grudge request or whatever?

With friends, yes. But you can skip them having to accept by selecting 'my locale' instead of friends when choosing your grudge matches. You can change it in the little drop down menu in the top right of the grudge select screen. My locale people are already signed up, I guess.

Wow.. I know I'm super-late on this too, but the opening of this game (I just saw it for the first time) went from..

Weird --- Trying too hard maybe (but interesting nevertheless) --- Eh kinda co --- woah so cool --- nice carsssss (except for the music) --- eh, the music isn't _that_ bad maybe

I definitely enjoyed it. And now to play! :_)

ah damn, you can't gift the car. I got the car again with another account, would have been a nice way to spread it to you US guys.

You can try and enter the code in a UK account, but I guess the DLC won't be recognized by your US copy of the game...

I didn't try 720p but 1080p + sharpen is definitely better than 1080p + standard on my TV. I play from a pretty close distance so I can easily spot the differences. The cars in front and the whole horizon look a lot less blurry.

I'll give 720p a go but on Prologue, I preferred 1080p for the sharpness over the slightly blurry upscaled 720p.

According to Quaz51, the sharpen effect replaces QAA with MSAA (he was not completely sure though). It looks the best on my screen, I prefer the added detail compared to 720 and there is not much aliaising.

If anybody needs a truck for the Sports Truck Series I have a Tacoma Prerunner I'd be happy to gift. It'll need some upgrading to win the races, and you can just pass it around to the next person who needs it afterwards. PM me.

Protip: if you find that your car is too unstable and over-steers too much *cough*rx-7*cough* then purchase the sports adjustable suspension and lower the ride height a little in the front and about a click or two lower than that in the back.

Most racing cars also have toe-out (negative toe) in the front to have better control on corner entry, only a few clicks is needed here. If you're still having stability issues you can adjust the rear toe-in by a click or two as well.

Uhm.. what car do you guys suggest me to purchase first, being Lv 0?

I would rather have a new car rather than a used (standard) one, but if those are better...

Gonna ask some questions here since I don't have access to the game at the moment:

Can you do split screen Kart races? I couldn't find the option in the split screen menu.

Is there a way to turn the HUD off or at least lower its opacity? Screen retention is pretty bad after a long session.

I heard there was a way to import cars from GT Prologue into GT5's garage for use in arcade mode, is this correct? The only option I could see was to import from the PSP GT.

Are there more than 3 WRC cars? They're the only ones I could see in the arcade mode selection.

Is there elevation options in the course maker? I was hoping to make a rally track with a few big jumps but it seems that you can only change the track complexity horizontally.

I think that's it for now. I've only played for 1 day as my PS3 is at my parent's house. My next chance to play it will probably be over Christmas so I was hoping to learn all I could by then. Thanks to anyone who can answer.

If you want to get the "Penniless" trophy, now would be a great time to get it, assuming you haven't gotten more money or spent anything yet. Unfortunately, I don't remember what you need to buy. You have to buy the PDI Go-kart and something else, but I forgot what it was.

I am struggling terribly with this event. I can't seem to turn on ASM (red line through it) or even find the settings for F/R Brakes at the start of the race. Where are these options?

You have to access these features using the real-time adjustment menu.

I forgot the official name for it, but it allows you to adjust TCS, 4WD Torque, ASM, ABS, and F/R brakes while you're driving. Some of those options you can't adjust unless you're in the tuning menu. (go to controller options and you can map this menu, and the controls for the menu to your controller/wheel -5 buttons needed in total)

Also, it allows you to turn on features that are prohibited for a race. :D ASM is crossed off in the list when you access it from the pre-race screen, but while driving in that event I can turn ASM on anyways. Cheap, but that challenge was insane so I decided to fight the system! lol

Good to see my boy still has his job :D

A lot have picked the Civic Type R (Premium).

And here's a list of cars that can be race modified from GTPlanet:

1. Chevrolet Camaro SS RM '10
2. Chevrolet Corvette Z06 (C6) RM '06
3. Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 (C6) RM '09
4. Dodge Challenger R/T RM '70
5. Honda CIVIC TYPE R (EK) RM '97
6. Honda INTEGRA TYPE R (DC5) RM '04
7. Lexus IS F RM '07
8. Lotus Elise 111R RM '04
9. Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX GSR RM '05
10. Nissan SILVIA spec-R AERO (S15) RM '02
11. Subaru IMPREZA Sedan WRX STI spec C Type RA RM '05
12. Suzuki Cappuccino (EA21R) RM '95
13. TVR Tuscan Speed 6 RM '00

15. Chevrolet Camaro Z28 RM '69

Supposedly there's 17 in all, but that list is way short. =(

Screw it, I just purchased a Nissan Silvia K's '88. Hopefully it's good. Supposedly it was pretty big in Japan?

Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu :(

Has there been any indication as to what the future updates might include? Would be nice to get Infineon Raceway and El Capitan back.

I can afford an Enzo, would that not be a better option?
You could do that or be a proud owner of TWO beautiful cars!

That is what I did to my RX-7.

Finally tried B-spec out last night. My guy is a retard.

I should have waited a couple minutes before purchasing something, hahaha. Oh well, hopefully I can do just fine with the Nissan Silvia K's '88?..

Can anyone suggest a car for the Japanese classic event? I'm getting really frustrated that I'm not able to do it. (I literally only have access to some 50bhp pile of crap for it at the moment)

PD should allow people to upgrade their vehicles lighting, like additional headlights or better bulbs. Nurburgring at night with no driving lines=me fucking some shit up:lol

Well, there you have it. It will now be my goal to get every car on this list, and make them into race cars. :D

Since you're just starting out, you could always delete the save and restart again. Not sure how good the Silvia is.

Dome Zero. Skip ahead to the Amateur Supercar race and beat that; you'll get one for free.

Start doing License Tests and Special Events. You'll soon be rewarded with awesome cars, which you can then use to race Events with, rewarding you with even better cars.

Buy a Ferrari 512 and win the Supecar Nostalgia with it. You'll be rewarded an awesome Dome Zero prototype to use in the Japanese classics.

The Ferrari is a good car, useful in many events.

The Silvia is a great car. Although I wouldn't know if an '88 is that great as a starter car.

I bought a '99 Silvia as my first car, and it was awesome.
