It's not just a racer, really: it's a Noah's Ark for cars, a haven that will never be touched by rust or sky-rocketing fuel prices. And although while GT5's been in development the driving genre has gone through plenty of transitions of its own, if anything, the explosive excess of contemporary titles has given Yamauchi's game even more of an air of class, as it ditches the dynamite and the levelling up to rely instead on simply being comprehensive and beautiful.

I agree.Yoboman said:What they should have done IMO is have had the remaining cars have no head tracking movement inside the car so they only really would've had to model the dashboard. That's what I always assumed they meant anyway
SolidSnakex said:I'm not sure I get what you're saying. Are you talking about them just giving you the customization parts without you having to buy them?
That is not going to happen. Unless of course you have got GT PSP where you can transfer your game save to GT5.Gravijah said:I hope I can buy and upgrade cars freely without having to worry about cash, any word on that?
Gravijah said:I realized afterwards that was a mess, I guess I mean... in GT4, it was pretty easy to make a lot of cash quickly, and you could mess around easily without having to worry about being broke.

Kyoufu said:So basically you want everything to be handed to you without earning it.
Gravijah said:...Actually, I was talking more about cash not being an issue, so I can tune cars for fun, upgrade an army of Imprezas, etc. In Forza 3, it's really hard to do that so I end up hoarding my cash.

Sony's conference was much better of course. I was disappointed by the lack of Last Guardian (and I don't care the slightest about twisted metal), but at least it looks like Sony still has the gamers as their primary target. Microsoft on the other hand is just trying to go where the money is, and gave gamers the finger. Move, thanks to the pointer (imho) can be used as a real gaming tool. Kinect on the other will always be limited to either casual gaming, or very simple controls like Child of Eden.BeeDog said:Thanks again Blim.
A bit off-topic: I know you were a bit disappointed with the MS conference, but what do you think of Sony's then (I guess if you include all the game announcements leading up to E3 as well)?
Kyoufu said:The game is still 60fps races and 30 fps replays right?
The premiums have been lavished with a slightly worrying amount of detail - every single screw is visible in the hubs, the interiors have been recreated down to the stitching (standard cars won't have interiors, which is a bit sad, but there are, like, 800 of them),
amar212 said:I also do not agree with you.
I presume Premium cars will have 360 modelled cokpit, modelled engine bay and everything that can lead to "structural damage".
However, Standard cars will also have cokpits and so, but will not be able to showcase flying hods, doors and such.
However, time will tell.
Xater said:I am still confused can someone just give a me straight answer if all cars will have damage?

This is the first proper GT on ps3. Makes my head spin regarding the sequel let alone the next generation.spats said:Me too. I hope they don't skimp out and do a super-limited run.
and just lol at the replay captures. They look like photographs, especially the first one.
web01 said:If its true only 200 cars have modeled cockpits then polyphony digital is an absolute joke of a company.
Prologue alone has already made the development costs back a gazillion times over and its not like they havent had enough development time...
Thanks for all the high quality vids Blim, so much better then any other site out there!!!Blimblim said:I've added two new videos to my previous news. One is an amazing looking replay, and the other a 60 fps race on the Rome track.
