They had five years to optimize the hell out of it, it better be advanced.

So you're saying that they could have released the game five years ago? Wonder who was making all the car models and tracks all that time?

My mind is blown that people can't drive on a simple oval track. It would beyond disastrous if they were racing on the Nurburgring.
Has there even been a single person to drive around this oval track WITHOUT hitting the sides?

he wants a clean lap. heh.

edit: that was a clean lap there and he still restarted? what the fuck is he doing?
They wanted to have that guy on for the tv showing, so they allowed him to keep going until after they were done with that part of the episode.

I'm sure they put programmers on content creation jobs.
My mistake, you sir are correct, I'm sure the engine was complete five years ago and they spent all that time optimizing, I was just guessing that there would be some multitasking at PD.

So Tourist Trophy (2006) , GT 5 Prologue (2007 upgrade 2008) and GT PSP (2009) just made there self .
How the hell can even optimize stuff when have no models or tracks or engine to use 5 years ago.

I'm no NASCAR expert, but I think there are actually only a handful of stock car models raced in the series. It should all come down to livery graphics. If they wasted their time individually modelling more than 3-4 cars, aside from exterior paint texture, it would be pointless. So actually, I don't think it would be crazy to think of them finishing a lot more than 9. I'd like to at least see a unique 16 car grid of them.

Looks fantastic. But is the visibility of that view looks terrible. D:

Is it really that bad in real life too?

Depends on the car, but some are that bad yes. Let alone getting a cracked windshield in rally.

It looks excellent though. I wonder why he did not turn on his lights.

pretty

will the time change if i were to stay still in one spot?
or certain area will always be night and other always in light?

It's a real day/night cycle so it'll change no matter where you're on the track. The E3 demo has the cycle accelerated so everyone can see it.

Unbelievably beautiful.

Looks great, but it doesn't look like on this car they have the shifting animation being performed as smoothly in GT5P. The hand isn't moving upwards in anticipation of the shift like the game normally does. Kinda surprised since that Citroen has been shown a few times now. Also, headlights don't appear to illuminate other cars judging from that particular clip.

I really hope Kaz has everyone operating on full-on in-office hotel mode.

Dang. Looks stunning.

So just to confirm, the full blowout will be at Gamescom?

I'm just watching G4s stuff now on my DVR :lol Scraping the bottom of the barrel with Kevin Conway. They should have had Translator-san do a lap instead :lol Hell, Yam-man himself probably spent more time in a race car at the 24h Nurburgring event than Conway has all season.
