Madrid looks awesome, and has a interesting course layout.
Easily the best of the street layouts we have seen so far.
I have a lot of personal favourites that are pre 2005. Many of those favourites were in HD or prologue though.Lion Heart said:Most of that 80 percent will be cars from 2005 and earlier. Seriously, how many cars do people expect to play with and further, how many cars before 05? Under a dozen? Those LM race cars, the 05 subaru WRX STI (unless they have the 06 premium'd :lol) and some personal favourites aside, I will be using mostly newer cars. This isn't the end of the world. Also, next time, we shouldn't expect perfection from PD, or any company. Its not fair to either of us.
Shambles said:So 80% of the cars will look like they're from other racer games this generation and 20% will melt our faces. This is an outrage!

This would help redeem PD somewhat seeing as GT4 cars had nothing except for wheels and wings.
Dynamic time of day and weather on all tracks and all will be forgiven
Espada said:Well, they gave you the first part of that spoiler tagged bit. Here's to hoping Yamauchi tries to get weather in by the time Gamescon comes around.

SolidSnakex said:It's probably already in. He was asked about it on Twitter and simply said 'maybe'. At this point a feature like that wouldn't really fall into a maybe category. They've been trying to optimize the weather system for around a year now. So it looks like they might've figured out how to do it.
mckmas8808 said:Yeah and they've been working on weather for awhile too.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but Forza 3's models are just incremental upgrades from Forza 2, which were incremental upgrades from Forza 1. Right?ghostofsparta said:I don't know why everyone is bitching.
If the standard cars look like the cars in GTHD, they will still look better than F3 cars.
Espada said:Heh, Gamescon is going to be great if only for this. Day/night progression and weather are going to be an amazing combination.
SolidSnakex said:They'll probably have more than that to show there. They released a feature list last year at gamescom (but took it down quickly) and at E3 they showed everything that was on that original feature list. Now they're promising some big blowout at gamescom this year. Although i'm not really sure what else they'd need to add if they do weather. Day/night cycle and weather were really the two main features that many fans wanted (damage being another, but that's long been confirmed).

SolidSnakex said:They haven't been confirmed for premium cars yet. But if they are then they wouldn't be available for standard cars. Standard cars are based on GT4's models (albeit updated), so they're made out of a single "sheet". Premium models are designed in parts (doors, hood, mirror ect), so they can be taken off and replaced.

Mush said:Stupid question, but how do we know by the time TGS/Gamescom rolls around they won't have more "Premium" cars available in the final game?
MGR said:Yeah, but all tracks?
Death Dealer said:Someone earlier in this thread commented at least we have dirt and snow.
Will Toscana have a snow/winter version ? Is that how the rally maps usually work ?
Orobi said:What about DLC for this game? There will be some exclusive cars/tracks coming after the release of the game? What Yamauchi said about? What the translator-man wrote?
Espada said:Well, I didn't see them mention that Day/Night is only for certain tracks. So I'm assuming all of them have it, especially after reading that you can make it so the game matches the system's time.

Then why, 5 months out from the game releasing, is everyone having a meltdown? It's pathetic.SolidSnakex said:There will be. They're constantly working on building new cars as Kaz has stated in the past. It just takes them a while because they need to be hyper detailed (500k polys each).
cheap transfer my ass...they look alright.Classic24 said:i was under the impression POLYPHONY DIGITAL deleted the legacy code of GT4, but I guess they still had the models and now they are doing a cheap transfer..........sigh

- WRC, NASCAR (Nascar rules will be in full effect), F1
bobbytkc said:yea, but 200 cars is a big number as well.
I think a lot of things depend on what those 200 or so cars include.
sportzhead said:What? Has this been confirmed? More F1 cars than just the Ferrari from Prologue?
shagg_187 said:But today in the interview he said that "I don't think Bernie Echolstone won't allow F1". I really hope there are more F1 cars in the game, though! Hell, Polyphony can just contact Sony Liverpool and get older car models from them, thus saving time and money on recreating them!
