I am so ready to learn everything about this game and have so many details set in stone!

Having it rigidly affixed to the car makes it essentially unusable. Polyphony needs to get its act together and go back to how it was in GT1-GT3, or at the very least, provide an option on the settings menu to decide for ourselves.

You're right, it does look ridiculous. Not to mention the fact that I've been watching WRC for 20 years and I've never once seen doors flapping about like that.endlessflood said:To me that video shows exactly what's wrong with GT5's damage. Is it really amazing? That's not even 0.5% of GT5's budget. :lolSolidSnakex said:If it's something yiou can win then that's pretty amazing considering that it costs 177,310.

All Sony games have at least English.lucanalin said:Do you know if some of the contents is gonna be "localized"? I don't really know where to buy/pre-order it in Italy, and I would really like to order it online.
I've seen it on Amazon.fr (at a good price! 69!), but I'm worried it would be in french; instead english is fine and not a problem.

US only has a Collector's Edition so far, which is $99 and includes basically Europe's Collector's Edition, but with a keychain and a 1:43 scale model of a Nissan GTR.

I'm tempted by the import... though I'd be gutted if the parcel didn't make it over for some reason.spats said:The US version is like a happy compromise between our cheapo "CE" and ultra expensive Signature Edition. Not gonna import though, as much as I want it.

There, I said it.
I'm not hurting for money, I just wanted to know if there will be any region locks preventing me from playing it on a US PS3.offshore said:Is that a good idea? 179.99 is $237, and £150 is $238. The Dollar is so weak :lol
Will DLC be based on the disc or logged in account? My standard PSN account is a US one but I had been expecting to buy the UK versionkyo_daikun said:I thought people had been saying it for awhile
Also if you import I hope people realise they won't be able to use the DLC cars on their european accounts and would have to use them on an american account (vice versa for americans wanting to import the Signature edition)

I want to import it but I'm worried about region locking. I would've liked a keyring with the EU CE at the minimumspats said:The US version is like a happy compromise between our cheapo "CE" and ultra expensive Signature Edition. Not gonna import though, as much as I want it.

its a game for fucks sake...

That's concerning... what was wrong with it? (I never got around to trying mine)eso76 said:Support for Fanatec was a very lacking in GT Academy
Gran Turismo 5 is gorgeous. Unbelievably so. Chances are, you already know. Were just here to remind you. When we saw the Toscana rally track in motion, we were stunned. Startled in fact. The games silky smooth, running at an unwavering 60 frames per second. We watched on as day turned to night, and the blue sky was replaced by twinkling stars. Its still Gran Turismo; its just prettier than ever before.
Whoops. The demo was locked to just two minutes, so we opted to take a casual drive through the scenic Italian capital. The routes been beautiful rendered, as has GTs sense of speed. We were surprised at how fast the scenery whizzed past us as we hit the straighter portions of the track. It seems like a strange thing to praise in a racing game full of fast cars, but its bizarre how Polyphonys been unable to nail this in the past.
3D aside though, we came away from Gran Turismo 5 with a slender feeling of fulfillment. Gran Turismo is still good. The fifth iteration in the franchise is unlikely to be unfamiliar to anyone who has played a GT game before, it just looks better than ever. And when you have a mega franchise like GT, sometimes its best to iterate rather than innovate. One things for certain Gran Turismo 5s going to be the prettiest game that launches this fall.

Support for Fanatec was a very lacking in GT Academy and if this doesn't change for release i'll be so pissed i will only buy the regular edition![]()
(not that i was going for the signature, but the limited looked sweet too)
