I really hope these versions of the games feel better to play, if you go back and play the old versions now they feel very stiff compared to the last couple of games.
The mobile ports are not running in Unreal Engine? The mobile ports already ran on Unreal. So they're just upgrading those to Unreal 4.
They could have shown a few pics or a video of the changes.
Because they're classics. And this coming from gaming forums where people scream for BC left and right is priceless.Hard pass. These games haven’t aged well. I don’t know why people are so excited for them.
What about Liberty City Stories and Vice City Stories?
Honestly couldn’t give a fuck about BC and think I said it on here many times. I don’t do the nostalgia trip gaming. It’s always a mistake where you remember everything with rose coloured glasses. Gaming has advanced so much I’ve got no interest in going back and playing games I played years ago that have inevitably aged like milk.Because they're classics. And this coming from gaming forums where people scream for BC left and right is priceless.
I actually think it will look a little better than that. Like the low res buildings and walls getting a nice refresh. This will never happen.
Rockstar is as lazy as Nintendo is.
Hopefully I am wrong and you are rightI actually think it will look a little better than that. Like the low res buildings and walls getting a nice refresh.
We'll just have to wait and see, ey
What about Liberty City Stories and Vice City Stories?
Yeah, that's not happening. If their game looked like that they would have showed it off. This is going to be a basic remastering, i.e. the same game only rendered in 1080p, 4K if you're lucky, and 60 FPS, possibly slightly better textures on certain objects. If they were smart they would have remade GTA III, making it look like GTA V. It would have sold millions and then they can move on to Vice City, then San Andreas, and then finally IV.
Charging $60/£60 for a collection of re-released mobile games, with only slightly better graphics than the original PS2 games!
£55 lmfao. they had better be doing more than a resolution/framerate increase. i want to see updated engine, improved lighting, high resolution textures, redesigned models, improved character/vehicle/weapon controls.
I think you might be mostly right. It will be almost like a remake but I wouldn't expect the new graphics to look amazing. This could have low budget. The change from RenderWare to Unreal Engine 4 will make a drastic change. More than bumping up the original 480p to 4K (27x higher resolution) and unstable 30fps to rock solid 60fps. Lightning, shadows, weather, 3D models and overall assets are going to look so much better.
The significance in changing engine - and not just any engine - but the most used and tested scaleable engine we have today, is going to bring these games into the 20's.
This is not a remaster - it's a remake.
Wait and see when they release a trailer for the trilogy. Feel free to bookmark this comment.
Guess why they haven't.They could have shown a few pics or a video of the changes.
Because it's not October 22nd yet?Guess why they haven't.
You better believe It.Because it's not October 22nd yet?
Rockstar: "GTA Trilogy Definitive Edition is coming - look out for October 22"
NeoGaf: "Must be bad since they're not showing it to us now!"
My phone from 2020 is faster than a PS4.It's coming to mobile phones.
I think too many people forget that the problem with mobile isn't the concept but the usual business model, since these aren't going to be an idol rpg whale hunter you can connect a controller and play these games the way they are meant to be played. My phone from 2020 is faster than a PS4.
Could be they want to avoid bad buzz for being a basic port.
Or.. They're removing them so people doesn't buy the originals by mistake and they want to earn 100% from sales and not pay 30% to Steam?they're removing the original versions of the game, so these "remasters" can't be too far from their original state of release.
Warcraft 3: ReforgedSeriously, though, the reason this will never happen is because they're removing the original versions of the game, so these "remasters" can't be too far from their original state of release.
Same, buddy. I get that a lot of people are taking a 'wait and see' approach with this and I respect that, but even slight bumps in graphic for my favourite game and I'll be happy.I'll be getting this. Vice City is my favorite GTA.

I never get tired of playing it.
