The story and characters were so awesome that I pushed through it within a few weeks after launch. And it took me years to complete GTA IV.

I kept weighing re-playing through the single player and recording my GTA Online shenanigans and the latter won. I almost teared up that they'll let me carry my Xbox 360 character over.
It's not a battle as much as it is a reason for people to keep shitting on watch dogs. There are people who feel like GTA V and watch dogs look the same as it is now with the former being on ps3 and the latter being on ps4 not to mention GTA/R* has a pedigree where they'll get a high level of praise regardless of the turn out
Personally, i don't mind that they're porting it but i've had my fill. Mainly because the story is just terrible and after indulging in watchdogs, that game does some meaningful things that make me not want to go back to GTA V.

Even though I'm level 100 in GTAO... I only did it for the trophy. GTAO was such a miserable experience, unless I see some drastic improvements won't touch.
Not to mention the only way I could have fun in the single player was with cheat codes... yeah definite pass.

Still wondering about a transfer of campaign saves. That information is stored on the Social Club as well, I can pull up all of my campaign stats. Money, missions, side activities, etc, it's all there.
I'll be getting this on PS4. PC version sounds nice, but I imagine they'll look and run the same. And yeah, yeah, mods mods mods. I see a lot of pretty pictures in the PC screenshot thread, and I keep asking (along with Skyrim) "Do people actually play the game like this, or do they just drive around the pretty and take screenshots?"

Most improbably not. AC BF,COD,BF4,Injustice ps3 version came with a voucher code, GTA 5 doesn't have any voucher code

Games aren't supposed to make you feel that way. If you're not having a good time then put it down. I never understand people who play games for hours on end but claim they were miserable the whole time.
I guess it is the same reason why I never understand people who jump into a thread of a game they are not interested in and feel the need to tell everybody that they are not interested in it. ..and this guy did it twice in one post! lol

They're all good imo. This is the first GTA where i've done this. The Rock station and alternative Rock station are my favorites.

On the terms of GTA, I was too stubborn to quit. The only time I will stop playing a game, is when it physically makes me want to stop playing. EX: Killzone SF and Tomb Raider.
So yeah, passing on this.
I wonder if this amount of detail will be in online, or only single player? The GTA Online version of the world was heavily neutered (e.g. no animals, low traffic, less foliage).
Edit: Also hope there's some other added features, like 64-player online or an official First Person mode for maximum Occulus Rift compatibility.

Save transfer is huge for me personally. The small possibility of it happening helped push me to purchase GTAV on PS3 over 360 despite vastly preferring the 360 controller, and now here it is. Don't think I'd play through the entire story again anytime soon but if I get the itch mop up sidequests, drink in the landscape and mess around with future DLC and online content, I'll likely pick up the upgraded version to do so.
Relax, PC Gamers are just super excited for the game to finally be coming, like me
Have only watched the first ten minutes of this game, and certain lets plays ( multiplayer only though) so I have managed to avoid all major spoilers and main locations, so its going be amazing to experience this game for the first time in its best possible form.

Don't care about transferring a save, but look forward to playing the game through again certainly. I played through the story once, left collectables alone, and hardly touched online, so it should still feel a bit fresh for me.

Seems like they bumped up the pedestrian and car density in addition to the other stuff. Are they launching with better multiplayer, though?

Please don't require future tech in order to run properly on PC. I'll take playable on 30fps even, just not a clusterfuck like GTA IV, which needed a 2011 pc to run properly when it was released in 2008.

Mind blowd up. Thought I loved GTA V as much as possible. Proven wrong. Can't wait to edit together a Share Factory drive around the map matched to some Jade Child & Hall & Oats!

I have 3 main missions left and about 8 Stangers and Freaks. I think i'll finish them on PS4.

Will double dip, but not right away unless there is new single player content... and not just guns, cars and clothes. New missions/heists please otherwise I'll wait for a price drop as GTAO was a bit of a disappointment for me. Pretty cool that I'll be able to transfer my character tho, maybe online will resonate with me a bit more this go around (unlikely )

Are people getting confused about the transfers? I thought it was only the online progress that could be moved across?

Yeah it's clear that some people don't get it. The only thing they're transferring cross-platform are online accounts, which don't reside on your console anyway. Anyone interested in doing this should probably create an account at rockstarsocialclub.com. That's how I'm assuming the transfer is going to happen.
He has two 3GB 580s and is okay with 25-30fps.
