Every game has shit textures, open world are bigger so they have even more of them, me saying that horizon has shit textures doesnt mean that other games dont have shit textures aswell, i think my post was misunderstood.

But yeah you people probably only consider ps2 mush as shit textures so you are more forgiving than me and other people.

Because amazing texture work is secondary in comparaison to amazing lighting. As long as you have "good enough textures", you'll be fine. While with amazing lighting you cross the next gen feel.

That's why IMO, while CD has some fairly meh textures it's also overall a better looking game. And it's not like it has trash textures everywhere. Some are meh, some are good and a large part of them are VERY GOOD.

Just a reminder last gen "early games" were Ryse: Son of Rome, The Order: 1886, Infamous: Second Son, Killzone: Shadow Fall, DriveClub..
All games that in many ways look at least as good as plenty of software released today.

Like 3 point lighting makes shit look awesome in general. Its just not a technical flex. I think it looks awesome but within context.

Respectfully disagree. I think all of those exceed at least some of the material I've seen from the Switch 2 game, in terms of feeling they could belong in this generation.
