Gravity Daze 2 gets a trailer

I'm surprised that this is the first 1st party game to get a sequel. I thought we'd hear about Drake first. Still, this is great news. Really enjoyed the (little) time I've spent in Gravity Rush. Need to finish it.

This series is selling me on a Vita. It feels like what games should currently look like before dudebro shooters, waifus, and mobile infested videogames. Can't wait to play it.

Wait. What? Really?

YESSS!!!!

Had no idea this was a thing, until just now.

The fact that Gravity Rush is getting a sequel is one of the greatest pieces of news that I've heard in a long while. This is one of my favorite games of last year(probably the favorite but I can't remember all of what I played last year) and I already starting to resign myself to the fact that I probably won't be getting a sequel to this game.

God I'm so giddy right now.

oooooh. two new wallpapers for my two monitors.

Thank god this is getting a sequel. Fully deserved. Fantastic first game and the 2nd game should be truly killer. Can't wait.

Several people have said that they didn't realize that Gravity Daze is Gravity Rush until they entered this thread. That's probably why.

That and there was another 400+ post thread happening around the same time as this, and there is the Vita PSN thread where I am sure this made waves. It is being talked about.

Finally started up Gravity Rush (after having it on my Vita for almost a year thanks to PS+) after watching this trailer. I know a lot of people on GAF really like this game, and although I only played through the first 2 chapters, I can tell this game is something special. Looking forward to the rest of the game and its sequel!

I noticed 2 things after watching this teaser again:

1) Kat no longer changes when she's gravity shifting. Instead, her wrists glow.

2) There's no Dusty =/. Maybe this is a prequel instead of a sequel?

I'm not sure she's gravity shifting in that short teaser trailer, in the first game, grafity shift mean she fall to whatever direction she shift to, in this trailer, it's more like having lower gravity situation where she can jump really high instead of falling upward.

it's just a new power I think.

it's just a teaser, you are over analyzing it

I don't think you understand how serious this is. I bought a Vita specifically for Gravity Rush. I love this series! So hyped.

You have a point there. I need to finish replaying the first one again.

Maybe she just flew too fast for Dusty.

I left Dusty for dust many times. He usually pops in, in a puff of smoke, a second or so after I land.

I can't believe they could get rid of Dusty. All the shifters had animal companions, they're quite important.

Hmm, I forgot Dusty was only a part of you when doing your finishing move. Gosh, I really need to replay this. ><

Day one. The moment the PS store updates.

Hopefully Grace Chen time doesn't exist when this comes out. Now to play this on my future Vta TV or Vita?

I want to know what the rest of you think of Kat as a character. I think she's a great main character - very endearing.

Loved her. I want to know more about what happened to
Raven during the year that her and the kids from below were gone though

I wish they make an OVA or movie from this game.
Great world setting, lovable character, godlike music, so much potential.

Gravity Rush cutscenes have always been portrayed that way, even in the first game. I don't think its any different here.

Love her to bits. It isn't easy to find level-headed (irony) and down-to-earth (wow, double irony) characters in gaming, especially female ones, so Kat's "everyday superhero" persona really worked for me.

Really love her look too. The costume is sexy without being pandering, and I love the way her scarf and hair flutter about as she shifts.

It's been said already but, endearing, is still the best word for her. She rarely falls victim to bad standard character conventions ( not saying she doesn't have them ) and she's an interesting twist on the whole silent protagonist thing. She knows when people are using her but still doesn't mind doing stuff. Because she knows she's either the only one who can do it, it's easiest for her to do it, or just because it might be fun. A very humble superhero.

If Kat actually was a silent protagonist, I would fucking rage. That'd have been one way to ruin such a terrific character.

Kat is such a better person than me, if I was her, that icecream vendor guy and his ungrateful son will lost much more than just his house. >: (

Yup, agreeed. She's a great character with an well written personality. Hope she stays true to it in this game.
Come to think of it, all the supporting characters also had distinctly different personalities and attitudes that made them appealing, even the bad guys. I even ended up liking the guy that lost his house (he was such a douche in the beginning) and the crazy psychic girl.

Oh man. Now I want everyone from the first game to make another appearance. SnakeRabbits, creepy obssesive fanboy, Nightclub Echo, Regular echo, everyone. EVERYONE.gif

The predecessor was one of the biggest disappointments I've had from playing a game. Ironically, the protagonist is one of my favorite ones in any game ever.

I'm hoping this can make up for the wasted potential cause I really wanted it to be great. Out of all the games that deserves a second chance, this is it.

Kat is a great character , especially considering where she cames from at the start of the game.
I do have problem with how much she gets bossed around by various Npcs during the story

I can't stop looking at that gif. So good.

Dude, yeah. What a goddamn prick. I so wanted to gravity blast his ass into the abyss.

So being able to play as either Kat or Raven seems very likely, not sure how I like that to be honest but we'll see.

One of my all time favourite games is getting a sequel? Please, take my moneys.

I'll have to replay the first before this comes out.
