I've owned a Vita since launch and bought GR day one. Ever since that teaser trailer that was shown at TGS two years ago, I was ready to buy it, as many others were, for what we assumed was a Vita release. But then there was the long silence and it was becoming obvious that the delay was due to shifting development to the PS4. I came to peace with that decision. The way I see it, whatever is best for the series overall is the way to proceed. If it was still a Vita exclusive, I wouldn't be perturbed.
Which is my point - I want what's best for the series, so that it can continue getting releases beyond Gravity Rush 2, if that's what Toyama wants. SCEA treating the remaster like it's a bomb doesn't exactly bode well for the series overall does it? If the game is released physically then it's on shelves in stores, which automatically grants it more exposure to consumers. How can the more casual gamers out there know they are interested in the game if they don't even know it exists? There are probably a large percentage of PS4 owners out there who rarely bother interacting with the PlayStation store, and thus they're oblivious to GR: Remastered.
You're right, they didn't have to give us a sequel. But they are, so what's with the fucking half measures?
