GRAW Online Achievements

I don't know. 10,000 kills? I played Halo 2 for a long time and I don't think I have gotten that many kills, and it's a much faster paced twitch shooter. Plus, I don't like playing online a lot. Do you realize how many retards you're going to have to wade through online to get 10,000 kills? That's a lot of hours of total frustration.
Obviously... but you're thinking short term. No one's gonna get that one in the first month unless they eat, sleep and live GRAW.

Still, lets say someone "sucks" at H2 and can only manage 15 kills a match. 15 a match * 5 games a day for 6 months (totally realistic if you "love" the game and play it quite a bit) = 13,687-ish.

Plus there are no shields in GRAW. ;)

Well I didn't mean you should play it for six months straight. Hell, that example is already way over the # needed for the achievement... and that's only if you "suck".

Hell, those 5 games don't even have to be in a row and is pretty much an hour+ a day.

Alright, but some of those are still out there. Still though, the last shooter I played a ton of was GR/GRIT, so maybe this one will keep my attention as well.

It's not quite impossible, but it might as well be. Sure there will be a bunch of people getting it on the first day or so, but you know that there will be quite a few guys that'll play nothing but GRAW all day.. everyday.

Basically, if you don't get it early in the game's lifetime your best bet is to wait 'till hopefully no one plays it anymore.

Who ever said that Achievements should be attainable to everyone? They are goals placed in the game to give people something to shoot for. If you get the hardcore ones, they are a badge of honor. They are hardcore for a reason. Seriously, I'd feel little "achievement" for being number 1 on day one, but I sure as hell would on Day 100.

I don't know why some people are whining about difficult/challenging/hardcore achievements. It's not like you lose any value to the game if you do not get them. Just play the game, go for the ones you can get, and work on the challenging one. I don't think there is any way in hell I'll ever get the Championship one, but that doesn't mean it'll lessen my enjoyment of GRAW, but it does mean I"ll respect someone with that in their Gamer Profile quite a bit.

I think the 10,000 kills achievement is definately doable if you put some time into it.

I think other ones like four kills in four seconds is going to be pretty difficult because you're gonna have to get the perfect situation for it to happen.

This game doesn't need achievements :lol , just give me the damn demo already!!!!

Don't know if it's been posted but yes, ther is a demo coming to the market place.

Link

Very good news for all of you people out there waiting for Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter. A demo will be released on the Xbox Live Marketplace in the near future according to the Ghost Recon:AW dev-teamÂ’s weblog over at 1UP.

Will there be a demo in the Marketplace soon, so we can experience the beauty of this game for ourselves in high-definition?

Yes there is, we are putting something special together as we speak which will be out soon.

Or a perfectly placed gernade/RPG. :)

I may be good for 2-3 of those tops. God, my gamer score stinks. I have 30 total points on PDZ, and I've only gotten 5 on Geometry Wars (next achievement is 250K and I can't even crack 200K). At this rate, I may not pass 100 before the end of March as hard as some of these achievements are to obtain.

GRAW's sound seriously hardcore.

* Heavyweight: Notch 10,000 kills overall online. Yeah, that's right. Ten thousand.

done

* Deadly: Get four kills in four seconds (read: grenade).

done

* Unyielding: String together thirty kills before dying.

done

* Falcon: Shoot down 100 helicopters overall online.

done

* Sniper: Put together 500 headshots overall online.

done

* Committed: Play for eight hours straight online—an aptly named achievement, I would say.

done

* Master of Ceremonies: Host at least 1,000 matches.

done

* World Champion: Be ranked first on the universal leaderboard. In other words, this marks the most difficult achievement yet in any game

maybe theyll reset the scoreboards every month?

Look out for idiots hiding behind cars! :D

:lol :lol :lol @ world champion 'achievement'

achievements that are really hard but realistically plausible aren't so bad, but the only thing worse than an EA press start achievement is one of these ranking type achievement that is meaningless because most people will either get it during the first few days when it's easy and virtually meaningless or not get it at all...

To make the "world achievement" work, they need to make it time based. Like "this achievement will not activate till you've played 100 games" or "two weeks after the game is released." I dunno, something like that.

I'm glad there are some hard achievements, the single player ones will be easier to get so it's nice to see there's a balance here of hard and easier ones. Way better than what EA does (aka press the yellow button - 100pts).

These things are cool little extras that make me want to finish or put more time into games that I normally wouldn't. Kinda amazing how something so simple and that's been around since the early days adds so much to a games replay now on the 360. Hopefully all the developers put a lot of thought into these for their future games.

IGN: What kinds of cool games can you create with the new multiplayer options in GRAW?

Christian Allen: Well, there are over 1,000 different options you can choose from, based on whether you want to play Solo, Team, or Co-Op, and in Elimination (kill everyone), Territory (control zones), or Objective (capture objects).

One of my favorites is a variation on the classic Siege game mode. You set up one smaller team as defending a base, and then have the larger team attack. The key difference is that you turn on the helicopter option in Team Territory. This gives the team that controls the most zones (thus the defending team) an AI-controlled attack chopper that patrols the map, hunting enemies. A whole new take on a classic game mode! And if you want a big challenge in Co-Op, set up a five-zone Co-Op Territory mode, with around 10 players. This means you have to split up into teams to each defend the five different zones, as the AI enemies storm and try to capture them. There are a lot more options; you could basically play a different combination every day for the next couple of years.
