Greatest final boss battle themes, from the current generation

Really? I found this pretty unremarkable.

I mean I can at least sort of remember bits of all of the other bosses. But for the last boss? Don't even know where to start. I've even beat the game twice and I found the chicken boss had a more memorable theme than the final boss.
I stand by my choice, I spent all game waiting on a full version of that Tiki jingle and this was the closest I got complete with it sounding kinda like the Quadraxis boss theme from Metroid Prime 2.
Meanwhile I can't recall any of the standard boss themes off the top of my head outside of bits and pieces of both bird based bosses so different strokes I guess.

I'm going to throw in the final boss theme from the Last Story.

The One Who Rules All

Because it's pretty duuuumb, but in-game it's actually pretty fun. Though I give it bonus points for making my roommates think a psych-ward inmate was dying in the living room at one point.

Ao no Kiseki's final boss theme

It doesn't get much better than this. Those masterminds behind Falcom Sound Team jdk never cease to amaze me!

Also, hi GAF! New user here. Warning: I'm a huge Falcom nutcase, for better or worse. Sorry in advance/please understand/get used to it/etc.

Monster Hunter 3 Tri/Ultimate

Deviljho - The Voracious Devil

Still strikes terror.

Clearly not the final boss at all. Would be Alatreon or Dire Miralis in the games you mentioned.

Lol. Loved the cries, and how long the music actually is before it reloops.

Three pages and not a single mention of Heavenly Sword? Jesus wept!

The version of L'Arlésienne was waaaaaaaaaaaaaay more epic. Chopin is my favourite composer but it was a bit of a let down after the rock-out I had before.

"Fucking blocks! I'm gonna climb the shit out of you!"

Besides, Dance Dance Revolution did the Revolutionary Etude better as a boss song:

MGS 4 > MGR

When you fight
Ocelot on the top of the outer Haven and it plays back through the best bits of OST of the past metal gears...

Both of these get equal love from me.

MGS4's was about the end of a long-established legacy with the old OSTs.
Rivals spanning two generations in one body versus the hero the series has known since the beginning, both old men literally fighting their last fight. Tears.

MGR's "It Has to Be This Way" was the song we needed for a fight as ridiculous and awesome as
Senator Armstrong
. Like several other boss fights in MGR it's got lyrics as good as Snake Eater to me, which says a lot.

Let me see if I can think of any that I didn't see in the thread already...
King of Fighters XIII -
Saiki

This one and this one are my vote out of this gens fighters.

Max Payne 3 not only had one of my favorite soundtracks this generation, it also had a beautiful final stretch theme (no, not TEARS, this songs comes after that part):

MAX: FINALE

HEALTH are fucking amazing, this songs almost sounds like a Godspeed You! Black Emperor piece.

...
Fire Emblem: Awakening (played in the last mission against
Grima
). So good.
...

Came to post Id~Purpose from FE:Awakening, good to see I don't have to. This track really invokes the feel of an big battle in me, especially since this track play when
your fighting on the back of a friggen dragon god.
Another good track from this game is "don't speak her name", really powerful when you play the game and the context it appears in.
