As of today the game has apparently gone gold too...

Let the hatin' and comparisons to sim racers begin...

I think it's fun, in a Ridge Racer with a weird physics engine thing going on kinda way.

But does the Camaro Concept transform into a robot?

I've had the demo for this game sitting on my hard drive for at least a week. I need to give it a shot. Of course I've had PGR4 for months and have yet to play more than a few hours of it, which is a sad tragedy, so maybe I should, I dunno, play that.

nice they include the best two f1 tracks in istanbul park and spa francorchamps

pre ordered mine a while ago, fun game and a nice change from playing sim racers all the time

pc version £19.99 :)

The car is sold as a Chevrolet in Europe (where the game was made), not a Daewoo.

I know what it is but it doesn't fit in with any of the rest of the Race or High performance sports cars.

Nürburgring, no shit?!

This answered my question.

It's the F1 track, not the one that takes 8mins to lap

How 'bout not. That nonsense is already going on in another thread.

I think it's fun too; let's not even start all the BS that's going on elsewhere on GAF. To those who don't like GRID, have no plans to buy GRID, would rather start an argument about what it is or isn't, or what it doesn't do as well as whatever—let it go and let those who enjoy the game for what it is, enjoy it and discuss it without all the BS.

15 tracks and 43 cars? that's...

i mean, people that were bitching about 6 and 73 will be furious with this...

WTF at no full 'ring?

rest in peace jarret and labonte, by far the best in series.

43 cars only, thats kind of sad.
I guess this is what you have to do in order to get a "full" damage model in the game.... that or they ran out of money to secure more licenses. :D

50 tracks, 15 locations, get it right, 50 cars too, so im guessing 7 secret ones/made up ones (DiRT had a car designed by colin mcrea etc)

about the same amount of cars you ever used in a GT or forza game :lol

43 cars worth driving.

TOYOTA COROLLA GT-S (AE86)

Yeah, I'm so hyped to drive this car! What a beast! :lol

This pretty well sum's up the fact that you've probably never played GT in you're life. So much failure and you didn't even get it in first gear!

...and if I end up using the same percentage I would only drive 1 or 2 cars in GRID.

I wouldn't mind that if it had any of the cars I actually like, which it does not. :)

i owned all GT games upto and including GT4 thanks :) hell i even owned tourist trophy too. the only one i never finished was GT4, because it was so dated and stale i got bored.

So then you're the type that finds one car he likes in a class and sticks with it I guess. Variety is the spice of life, try different cars you might be surprised.

I usually take the shittiest car in a class and work it to the end of the class then start using the other similar cars to constantly improve lap times, its something I love doing in GT games.

nah, i play about with different cars in each class, but most are shite and not worth the hassle, id much rather GT5 had 100 well picked cars, with full damage and crash physics, and decent track details

edit: tourist trophy was the first PD racer to have crashes even if they were crap ;)

But that isn't what makes Gran Turismo...Gran Turismo.

Comparing this game to forza and gt is stupid, it's not supose to be a sim car life adventure or anything, like msr and pgr it's a game with some adjusted physics based on a real model and extremely fun from my experiance with the demo so far.

If you want a GT game, buy GT?
