Grift Lands revealed

Man, Klei just can't stick to a genre. Insane developer.
100% in for this, so far all their games have been great

But seriously, how many people work at Klei?

Steam Page is up too

Looks potentially cool! Also Klei should be in the thread title, their name is big enough to garner interest in and of itself.

Klein seems busy these days, they have one game in EA, one in development, and now this. I love their games so I'll probably be in.

I also love that you can tell a Klei game just by looking at the art, even as they hop across genres.

I think Hot Lava is a relatively small-scale passion project thing. And they generally seem to have two teams rolling. Don't Starve Together was being tested at the same time as Invisible, Inc. Early Access.

Whooooaaaaa how did they make this

EDIT: Ohhhh are the cutscenes not ingame? Looks like a show. Looks really cool.

I'd like to know that as well. It's really impressive how they consistently try new genres and never disappoint. And it's not like their games are rehashed from existing successful titles by other studios either.

Klei is amazing, and this looks like it hits on a style that I feel is underrepresented - B-sci-fi, gonzo aliens and planets, almost like a Rick and Morty style where anything goes. I can't really tell what the game will be, but given the track record of the developer's I've got some interest already.

Klei has to be one of the best developers in the game. When you look at the genre swaps, the ability to consistently put out quality games across different platforms. They deserve a lot more praise then they currently get.

Combat reminds me of Darkest Dungeon. Darkest Dungeon with more exploration and adventure elements would be pretty awesome.

And as many have stated, Klei is real awesome.

I have seen that artstyle before, cant remember which game though...Penny Arcade or Banner Saga...? anyway looks cool, always in for turned base.

Always keen on whatever they're up to at Klei, one of the great development houses of the 2010s. Looks like a party-based RPG from the teaser. I'm not as crazy about the art here as in their earlier titles (there's a certain flatness to the way foreground meets background that was never an issue in their stylish 2D illustration before) but it could always grow on me, and this is one of the best studios around when it comes to really polishing something up for launch. I do wonder if it will have the meta/management/customization layer that makes all of their games so replayable, or if it's aimed at being a more linear experience.
