GripShift (PS3) Revealed

Are you talking about GT 5 prologue?

No. It was waaaay before that. I think it was around the time Sony Japan first ran their 'competition' for smaller devs to submit a potential EDi game concept, sorry, I can't remember the name.

It was mentioned on a few places that Sony were trying to get some of their own devs to submit ideas and there was alot of talk that Digital Polyphony were doing so.

Perhaps a 'side-quel' to their bike sim Tourist Trophy (complete speculation)?

An interesting point that Jaffe touched upon in his great interview for GAF (apologises can't remember the interviewer) was that downloadable games offers a chance for less successsful IPs to get a lower budget sequel to it's fan base without the cost of a disc based game. The example I used at the time was War Of The Monsters, a sentiment that Jaffe also touched upon in the interview.

It's almost as if I knew he was going to say that
I didn't

Also, a clarification on my earlier high score comments, we store top 5000 times for each goal. When you get a goal, you can view your rank, and see the time and name of the person who’s at #1. However, you cannot view the whole score board - another item for future improvement.

It totally blows my mind that those screenshots come from a Playstation network download game.

Kudos to you and your team Mario. Plaudits are deserved.

In the light of games like these being offered for such competitve prices, how much longer can Microsoft (and to a lesser extent Nintendo) seriously keep the XBLA download limit at 50 MB. They need to have the limit for game sizes set at ten times that to stay competitive over the next few years IMHO.

Again, great work man!!!
