GT Sport E3 Build - Massive Upgrade

Yeah, just preordered the steelbook, I'm convinced from what I've seen I'll enjoy it in some aspect, even if only for Scapes.

I did notice on GAME there's preorder exclusive content(went with Amazon UK though). A European car pack, so more cars will obviously be added further down the line as dlc.

Apparently, GT Sport will support PS3 wheels?

There is frontpage story at GTplanet, but I cant link ATM

Amazingly smart move from PD, I would so love to have been at the meeting where they explained the logic to some mad white-collar plebs at SCE

If true, win of the decade.

So they plan on selling like 200 DLC cars or so over the lifetime of GTS and now they include the wheel guys from last gen but still exclude the people with newer and more expensive rigs that would easily have the money to buy all that DLC...
Well I guess those people aren't too interested in Gran Turismo anyway, because the GT physics aren't up there with the PC sims...

The T300 and T500 are technically PS3 wheels so wouldn't make much of it personally.

They better have that new GT wheel ready for purchase.

I dont want a current Thrustmaster or Logitech, and they wont let the Fanatec work.

So my Driving Force GT will work?....... though the steering wheel seems to be pulling to the left with a vengeance if I take my hands off the wheel on a straight. The wheel was stored at some point, so maybe there was some heavy item placed on it. Hope I can adjust it so it stays aligned.

Hard to say, depends what he means by the percentage. Is it percentage of time/effort spent, or the actual game that is complete? Generally certain parts of developing a game are much more difficult and don't result in progress that's visible to the public, but once it's done, the rest of the progress goes much more quickly and smooth.

Any further clarification about this, Amar? It would be fantastic if true, and put a lot of Fanatec owners there day one.

Gamescom, one of Europe’s biggest gaming events, gets under way this year on August 17 in Cologne, Germany and will feature a specially-constructed 'Gran Turismo Sport' booth where you can play the game for yourself. (Note that access to the general public is from August 18 to 21.)

The design for the 'Gran Turismo Sport' booth is based on the famous Caracciola-Karussell corner on the Nordschleife (North Loop) of the Nürburgring with fifteen gaming stations lining the banked curve of this iconic hairpin corner. You’ll also be able to get an up-close look at the latest Walkenhorst Motorsport BMW M6 GT3 model, driven by Kazunori Yamauchi in this year’s Nürburgring 24 Hour race.

Anything further about legacy wheel support, Amar? Or was it just one of those things that Kaz plucks out of his ass at random to make room for his nomex underpants?

Ehhh. I'd prefer if the km/h reading was underneath the map.

Huh, why? Seems best to have gear and speed together, and right in your line of sight just underneath where you're looking rather than having to move your eyes too much away from the road..

Sorry, I meant both the speed and the gear readout.

I haven't read much into. But is this a full Game, or is it something like the Prologue games, some sort of precursor and sampling of GT7?

First time it's ever happened with a GT game, but we are *not* allowed to do any footage of the Gamescom build of GTS. It has some rally gameplay too...

Given the panning it got earlier to start with I can't say I'm too surprised by this. The game seems to change massively with each build, good to hear there is some rally in there though. Let's hope they are still on for a 2016 release!

Someone from PD must have noticed some of the positive reception show floor videos have been getting, which goes against what they set out to achieve with their trailers.

;-) I am sure people got fired after we noticed the massive upgrade they desperatly tried to hide...

I was just wondering why there was no GTS footage from Gamescom yet.
: \

at least we can expect impressions i guess.

Is that Nur24 race video the only official media to be released for an event in their biggest GT region?

No new game info, trailer or gameplay footage means Sony are shook after finally realising what they've got on their hands?

Is it because I'm viewing on my phone, quality of screen capture, or something else causing what appears to be some real aliasing issues?

All they have to do is update with some commercial cars that's popular in each region and add in more racers for SP people. I don't see why they needed to call this anything but GT7. Seems to be a substantial amount of content.
