GT7.........Coming Soon.......speculate (updated yesterday)

I wouldn't be surprised if they'd release the game somewhere in 2021 and "support" a.k.a. finish it down the line with post-launch updates, like it was already the case with GT6 and GTS.

GT5 was a clusterfuck that took years to ship. But it was an outlier. After that their rate of output became decent again. Kind of weird though that the PS4, succesful as it is, didn't get a full GT release. Though I rate Sport as the very best one.

bro you keep talking that smack you don't think i'll get my uncle on you? he weilds a short sleeve black shirt and cargos for a reason bro, he means business.

LMFAO THERES TWO OF THE LAD WITH THE CAP KEK

oh yeah GT7 will probably come out first half next year, and I'll fucking BUY THAT SHIT

Will be small number of cars at launch and updated all through the PS5 lifecycle, so could happen soon.
Small number of cars? Wut? Gran Turismo Sport has gotten tons of new cars since launch and now it has 324 of them. They'd be stupid not to feature them in GT7 (along with some new ones).

GT7 is my most anticipated PS5 game thus far. But being realistic,it'll be this time next year befor it's released... Bet yas

Please make full PSVR supportPlease make full PSVR supportPlease make full PSVR supportPlease make full PSVR support

So with the exception of GT 5 which took them time due to PS3 being awful to develop for, They've released GT games consistently every 2 - 3 years like any other dev. Hence I don't know how this "PD are slow" came to be

PD is the modern-day Working Designs known for their delays. In contrast to Turn 10 who this gen have made Forza 5, Forza 6 and Forza 7 to PD GT Sport.
No doubt Forza 8 will make it out before GT 7

Ironically Forza has been delayed. I'm pretty sure they said it will release this year but didn't. GT just doesn't operate on a 2 years iterative game release schedule. They make one big game and support it through most the gen.

Damn i'm in a need for good grind. GT Sport was great, but 20mil cars and no real progression killed my interest. Still have 500+ hours clocked tho. :messenger_grinning_sweat:

Nice try i bought the psp day1 for gran turismo..
Got the fucking game when the 4th hardware revision of the fucking psp came out 🤣

Ironically Turn 10 have released 2 more 'Full' games than PD this gen and GT Sport wasn't even a fully-fledged game. That's to overlook Turn 10 haven't announced a date for Forza 8 which by reason, means its hardly delayed

i just commented in the faceplate thread but may as well here too. How about a black and chrome official GT7 faceplate with a blue and red GT stripe that's made to kind of look like a car? They've done the faceplate thing once before. I think for PS3 slim and GT5

I really don't understand where this "PD takes so much time" came from?

They've always released GT in a timely manner. Quite consistent
1997: Gran Turismo
1999: Gran Turismo 2
2001: Gran Turismo 3
2004: Gran Turismo 4 (released GT 4 Prologue 2003)
2010: Gran Turismo 5 (released GT 5 Prologue 2008)
2013: Gran Turismo 6
2017: Gran Turismo Sport

All of the above in addition to Tourist Trophy 2006 and Gran Turismo PSP 2009

Facts aren't fun, we just want memes 😅

I think it's due to GT5 being the first game that came in the full-blown internet age and since it was the first it kinda gave a bad reputation to PD. Now it is just another misconception mostly still being spread from fanboys from the other "camp". Just look at the 3 people who laughed at your post and search their post history (in case you don't recognize them).

I don't know about you guys, I love GT and all but I'm been craving for years for a good arcade racing on PS and Xbox. I'm getting tired of sims because I don't have more time to invest in them.

It wasn't just GT5 - GT6 was also promised to fix multiple aspects of the game via post-launch patches, but PD never actually delivered them, after some time (years) they just said it'll all be improved in the next GT, and when GTS came out, it had much, much less content than any GT ever before, with only Prologue titles that had less to offer. They are adding few cars or a track here and there and that's it, for some people that's enough, but the glory days of GT2/GT4 are undeniably long time gone. So while PD got much faster in releasing new GT games after the 5th, it comes at a cost of lesser content. Their current reputation is not there without a reason, they worked for it, and GT7 has a lot to prove.

GT3 also released with much less content. Content was sacrificed for quality in both GT3 and GTS.

average of 4-5 years between games...last game GT SPORT in 2017.....still think earliest for full game is 2022/23
if they have a game next year i would be pumped but i just dont see it happening

I was talking about release dates. No one can deny how barebones was GT Sport on its release date but i think that had more to do as a design decision (emphasis on e-sports) rather than having not the time to implement a full carreer mode. Yes it also had less cars than GT6 but GT6 also still had PS2-based car models something that it was high time they abandoned it with the release of GTSport (just like from GT2 to GT3).
However GT Sport now is packed with content and i think we have to get used to this business model of releasing a game with a bare minimum of content and updating it during its lifetime.

Personally i prefer a clean start in terms of assets when a new gen begins even if it results to less quantity but a more homogeneous quality. I really hope with GT7 everything will be new and that it will be a huge improvement to GTSport similar to that improvement going from GT2 to GT3 even if (at the start) has less content than what GTSport has now.

GTS had less content because literally all the car models were redone at (apparenly) 8K quality, mainly to prepare for this gen. It could've had a lot of cars at launch, but you'd have the 8K quality cars mixed in with the PS3 quality and the PS2 quality - probably not the best look.

Forza had this same issue when Forza 5 came out. Less content because they had to make new models for the new generation

But they said the exact same thing about GT5/6 cars, that they are already made with next-gen in mind, and when PS4 arrived, that started all over from scratch, so it makes you wonder if they won't do it again for PS5 despite their claims. Like I said, their reputation and people's lack of trust is fully deserved.

Yea I always laugh at that.

I tend to think GT7 will be basically GT Sport + Career mode so I do think this game is going to be out in the next 6-12 months. But we will see.
