Are there any videos or screenshots of the PS3 version? I've been curious to see how drastic of a downgrade it is from the PS4 version.
Everyone has his own stage in Xrd, right?
I keep forgetting Xrd's out! ... But then again, I'm in "Cynical Mode," so I think I'm gonna wait until an inevitable "Super" edition or a cheap DLC bundle. I'm tired of getting a game only for it to have an Ultimate Edition soon after, and I know Elfert's not in the arcades, but she's proof Xrd's getting DLC on consoles, and I doubt she'll be the last.
Not yet. They said the only difference will be that it's in 720p but we'll see. I'm skeptical..
Well the arcade version is also 720p so we can expect the PS3 to look like that at the best IMO.
The only thing we have to worry about is the potential frame rate issues but they're using Unreal 3 so I think it'll be fine.
Guess I'll be waiting for the final edition of the game a few years down the line then!

September 18.When's TGS?
I hope we get a NA release date.
I wonder which version of the game tournaments will run, PS3 for the convenience or PS4 for the version that runs best
September 18.
It'll depend on what games are at the event assuming the PS3 version has a solid framerate. If Tekken or any of the other anime games are there, they'll most likely use the PS3 version.
Looks like the US GG website was updated today and it still says "Release: Holiday Season 2014".
From what we know about her play style, I can already see this being a hellish match-up for Elfert, lol.

Brief summary of the Famitsu article. Bolded parts are things I'm not 100% sure on.
To use the rifle, you input a certain command and she'll assume a stance. During this stance, she cannot move, the lever instead being used to aim the reticle that comes up. She can aim at various distances to put pressure on her opponent from afar.
To use the shotgun, input a different command, and she'll assume a stance that alters her movement. She becomes very deadly at close range (even though shotguns actually have relatively good effective ranges, so even though hers is pretty short, I'm pretty sure it'd still have better reach than portrayed in the game; do some damn research, Ishiwatari) and gains a forward somersault to keep herself close to her opponent.
After shooting either weapon, she can maintain her firing stance by inputting a special motion to reload.
If you fire too soon after assuming a stance, it will be harder to hit the opponent and the attack will be weak. If you wait, however, the reticle will become larger, the attack will do more damage, and the knockdown effect will be greater.
Pachi says that she's simple and has enough of a variety of moves that should help her be playable in a more basic style (don't let your guard down, though, remember that Mori said something similar about Izayoi in BlazBlue, who turned out to be anything but).
She has a handgun that she can use without the need for a stance, and can fire it multiple times in rapid succession. She has a move where she throws a pin that explodes, and can alter the distance by holding down the button.

Not Baiken, dont care.
You also get the pink hair and the white-with-some-red dress, you're practically getting Baiken. ;pyou gotta make due :l i'll make due with a shooter character.
What great pain is this causing you exactly? Why do you need a character that you may not even touch more than once? You wait a year and then what? People will have had the game for over a year and jumping in online will only be that much harder (and that's not including all the hardcore GG vets who will already be heads and shoulders above everyone else at launch).Day one purchuse plans CANCELED.

She fights with a shotgun and rifle
Nope that's 100% GG

If you're that worried about DLC, might as well never buy afightinggame ever again.
Man, you'd be waiting like 10 years of you did that with GG.
Yup, but there's plenty of fighting games that are actually finished or have their penultimate version already out for me to play in the meantime! And the online community doesn't bother me in these type of games either, so the fear of that being abandoned or the skill wall being too high is a non-issue to me. It's all about sitting down in the same room with a group of friends and getting those big arcade sticks out!
Weekend booze-ups playing Marvel Vs Capcom 2, Smash Bros Melee, Soul Calibur 2, and Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown have been our current rotation for the past few months.

,I don't know why you're posting this about the first batch of DLC we see for the game.
Well, as you said, new versions will come out, took Arc Systems a hell of a long time to bring out the final installment in the XX series, but the wait was worth it. All the tweaks, characters, mode returns and updates all in one kick ass final package. Blazblue is headed the same way too. And you know when DLC is involved in fighters, that usually means enhanced editions, and multiple ones at that! My post was more of a statement on what I do with the fighting games market in general, sit and wait, buy the best edition, and then play the shit out of the game locally with my buds. I made the silly mistake of just quoting that one little bit instead of making a more fleshed out statement.
Only exception I've made is Persona 4 arena lately, and that was only because my friend gave me his copy because the Ultimax version was announced. Game is pretty great.
