Well I've been attacked hard today, though the amount of credits has been low (only ~6k stolen SI), the machines have been hit heavily.
Still another good day's takings. About comparable to yesterday. Haven't quite moved up the table as much as I'd hoped today but it's obviously harder at the top.

I get people double failing on me too, my guess is since the bw you attack with is somewhat randomized they get a low roll but think they can break you if they get one that uses all their kbps.

[edit] actually if he attacked you an hour ago, he's likely spent all that money already. if someone hits you hard like that, post a link to his profile ASAP in the Online forum topic so we can nail him before he blows all your cash on coke and hookers. And bandwidth.
I know, I know. Do you think I was nervous saving up for a lvl 5 virus? ;D Beefing up my defense before I call it a night. Now I'm just worried that not having much bandwidth but much defense will scream "PLEES ATTACK MEEEE". So maybe I'll do some avant guarde fancy stuff and do that whole "attack is the best defense" bit!

Yeah, what I try to do before bed is I use up all my IPs and spend as much of my cash as I can until it's under 1,000. Then I hope my vault doesn't overflow before I wake up. So if you have anything left right now, dump it into mhz. While having higher mhz than kbps may tip people off a bit, it won't matter if you have no money outside your vault. Also, the way I see it, when you buy more mhz, fewer people can hit you, so you're increasing your chances of staying safe during the night.

We can do that now =P Use the Hackcess thread in the Online forum. Outsiders can't see that forum at all, so it's safe.
I agree it would be nice to have the crew chat operational, though.
If i do not spend any credis I'll manage enough for virus 8 in an unspecified amount of time.
Throw in some good ip assaults on my normal targets and I should be able to get lv8 sooner.
(I need 1,960,000 credits, so I'm going to turtle up and purchase kbps/mhz, till I have enough that I can sell them back and have enough credits. Yeah I need about 25% more credits, but it beats getting ganked for like 26%+ when your saving up in a lv14 vault )

We need to divide up the referral links into blocks of w/e is the max (5?) so each person is only responsible for themselves and 4 others, that way they don't have to look through the whole list everytime because they are more likely to just stop. If only 4 other people you can do it real quick and everyone will get done (in theory).
